Chapter 39

Quinton and Kamari were in his bed kissing until suddenly Quinton stopped.

"Is everything okay?", Kamari asked.

"Yea. I just um...I've been thinking about something", Quinton said.

"What?", Kamari asked.

"About how much I love you", Quinton replied.

Kamari smiled and she caressed his cheek.

"I love you too", Kamari said. "But I'm going to just go to the bathroom real quick"

"Okay", Quinton said as he moved from over her.

Kamari got out of the bed and walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind her.

Quinton opened the nightstand drawer. As he did that his phone began ringing. It was his mom so he answered it.

"Hello?"... hey mama. Nothing I'm just chillin with Mari", he said on the phone.

Quinton chuckled.

"Yes, she is really pretty...no, I haven't asked her yet", he said.

Kamari walked of the bathroom and walked in front of him.

As Quinton continued to talk on the phone he held Kamari's hand.

"Who's that?", Kamari mouthed.

Quinton put the phone on speaker.

"Mom, Mari said hey", Quinton said.

"Tell her I said hey", Quinton's mom said.

Kamari smiled and was about to back up from him but she bumped into the night stand drawer.

Quinton quickly closed it before she looked at it.

Kamari looked at him then back at the drawer. She actually saw what was in there.

"But I'll let y'all be. Goodnight", Quinton's mom said.

"Goodnight", Quinton replied.

"You could've stayed on the phone with her. I was just about to get going", Kamari said.

Quinton made a face.

"I thought you were staying the night", Quinton said

"I said that? I thought I said tomorrow night", Kamari said.

"Nah you said tonight", Quinton said.

"Oh well I meant tomorrow. I have to wake up really early tomorrow for a music video", she said. "My apartment is closer to the location"

Quinton nods.

Kamari kissed him.

"I'm going to walk you outside", he said.

"Okay", Kamari replied.

Kamari grabbed her things and put her shoes on. Quinton put on a shirt and shoes.
