I woke up alone, I swore Kyoko was with me when I fell asleep, but now she wasn't here anymore. I let a sigh out. I just hope she's ok. I went and sat down in front of the cameras and saw that once more Monokuma was laying down in the gym...
Alter Ego: I desactivated the Monokumas! For a short period of time, but it will do right? I thought it would be ok.
Athea: That's perfect Alter Ego, you did a great job.
This time Togami walked in the gym, as he left and gather everyone in the dinning hall to meet up in the gym to once more dismantle Monokuma. Makoto and Kyoko were nowhere to be seen... Soon they headed to the Principal office, Makoto joined them not long after, but Kyoko was still missing... I was growing worried... She couldn't be... obviously no...
Toko started running somewhere, which seemed to be the garden, but when she arrived... Someone was there... someone was dead... The only person missing was Kyoko. I felt myself shaking. She couldn't be...
I shouldn't jump to conclusion... Afterall if I re-used a body, someone might have done the same. I took a deep breath. Kyoko wouldn't have gotten down without a fight, if anything she's probably still searching on this floor.
Syo then ran back to them, alarming them of the body. As they all rushed to the garden, the announcement played, although I didn't hear it, but I guessed it since there was at least three people in the room. They started inspecting the body... and still no news of Kyoko... I decided to look around the floor for her.
As I left the room to go around and look for her. I went into the lockers rooms and saw her trying her handbook on every locker.
Athea: Kyoko!?
She turned around.
Kyoko: Why are you so surprised to see me?
Athea: You need to come with me... something came up.
She gave me a questionning look and followed me. We soon arrived infront of the computer.
Kyoko: There's another body... but whose.
Athea: Well if my assumptiosn is correct, they think it's yours.
Kyoko: Right since I'm the only one missing... but if I show up...
She bit her lip and it immediately clicked.
Athea: Last night, they were trying to kill Naegi to frame you, right?
She noded.
Athea: But since he's still alive... they probably re-used a corpse, like I did.
Kyoko: The question is whose...
Athea: That even I don't know...
There was nothing coming to my mind about who it could be.
Athea: Kyoko... what are you going to do?
Kyoko: What do you mean?
Athea: Will you risk being killed?
Kyoko: I can't, but I also can't blame him...
Athea: I'll save him.
Kyoko: What?
Athea: I'll save him from execution, I will save you too... if it happens.
Kyoko: If I die, even if you can save me... I can't risk it. This place will remain a mystery. I have to find the truth, I have to know if he did this.
Athea: Then, blame him. I'll do everything to save him.
Kyoko: But I'll be betraying him.
Athea: He knows about the skeleton key right, Byakuya took your room key. If he doesn't trust you he will tell the truth, but in my opinion... he trusts you with his life Kyoko...
Kyoko: So you're telling me to risk his life... I can't.
Athea: I hate saying this, but isn't it what it is to be a Kirgiri, sacrfice everything for the truth... plus something tells me, he isn't one to just die.
Kyoko: What?
Athea: I analyse all of our classmate and in all honesty, he was an easy target... but even if he looks weak there something else to him... this enthusiasm that never cease to exist. I believe in him. He maybe not know what he is doing, but he is lucky enough to find the answers... Trial after trial he always delivered the final words, even if we helped him a bit. To understimate him would be a mistake...
The look she was giving me right now was pure confusion, but she seemed to understand where I was coming from.
Athea: Look, a couple of years ago, I met someone on an investigation, she showed me a side of being a detective that I didn't know, and I fell in love with it... everyday I kept going thinking that she was right... When her file came across my desk... I discovered she was shot trying to protect someone... to this day I still remember... the person I interrogated, everything they said... "she may have died for me, but she doesn't know how much it meant to feel important enough to be saved." So I want to do the same sacrifice for Naegi... for all of you. Many times, I have said that I would find the truth to this place even if it kills me, well it changed, I will protect you and make sure you all get out of here even if it mean sacrificing my life. I'm done crying in a corner about what I've done... I can't change the past only the future. So Kyoko, go out there and do what you do best. Investigate the options and find the truth.
Kyoko: Athea I can't let you die.
Athea: Don't worry Kyoko... everything will be fine. I believe the trial is about to start so if you want to investigate before it, you should go. I have to start preparing to save who will be executed.
Kyoko: Thank you for everything Athea, even if you're the traitor... I trust you and I may be making a mistake by doing so, but I believe it's the right thing to do. I Believe in you.
I smiled and she left the room in a hurry to go investigate.
This was it. The end was close... was it going to be my end. That only the future could tell, but even if it means sacrificing my life, that doesn't mean I'm going down without a fight.
