Getting hate on the internet

Requested by -aevix pls enjoy :)) *the situations used in this have either been taken from old drama or made up*

Dream

He's being cancelled for the sixtieth time

And tired of it

You see him trending on twitter, and you're not surprised when he comes and asks for cuddles

You stop him from creating a thousand word long twitter thread about it

Tell him over and over that he doesn't deserve any of the hate

George

He spends too long on twitter and sees some hate accounts

You catch him scrolling through threads and snatch his phone off him

He just slumps against you and buries his face in your shoulder

Complains and rants for a while

You listen to it all, making sure to rub his back or play with his hair

Sapnap

People on the internet being stupid as usual

You see the hate first, and warn him about it

You two spend a whole day without going on social media, just enjoying each other's company

If he does get a little sad over it, you remind him that love him, no matter what other people say online

You make sure it doesn't get to him

Bad

Everyone being mean to him on stream again

As soon as he ends stream you're by his side, reminding him that not everyone in his chat is like that

You make him food and wrap him in blankets

And then watch whatever he wants, cuddling and sharing the food

He might have to stop you from fighting every single person in his chat

He acts like he's not fazed by it, but you can tell he is

You ask for cuddles because you know he wants them

He just melts into your arms

You remind him that what people on twitter say isn't important, and that you love him

Asks if you're sure when you tell him that you know they're fake

Almost cries when you say that you trust him completely

You can tell he's annoyed and ask him what's wrong

He tells you everything, slowly moving closer and closer before resting his head on your lap

You hum a song and he relaxes completely

He falls asleep pretty quickly, and you block some accounts on twitter

Out of context clip spread around twitter

You see it online and almost throw your phone across the room

But you prioritise Niki, and go and find her

She runs into your arms and stays silent when you ask if she's ok

You wait for her to be ready to talk, while also insulting every bad twitter account out there

You don't even know what happened, just that she's angry

She runs into your room, yelling about something online

And then she pulls you to bed so you can cuddle

You stop her from attacking every account that was mean to her...somehow

You let her rant and yell, while remaining as calm as you can

A miscommunication

People took his words out of context, and you watched it all happen

He panics a lot, saying over and over that he didn't mean to say it like that

You remind him that you know he's not in the wrong and help him calm down

Afterwards, you help him write what he actually meant to say

Old tweets from years and years ago resurfacing

He deletes them all and tries to completely ignore the problem

You have to coax it out of him, offering cuddles and food

He does eventually talk, and you give him the best advice you can

He falls asleep on you, tired from all the stressing

They try to not let it bother them, but it does

You tell them to take a break if they need to, and that you'll always be by their side

They almost cry at that

They beg for cuddles and just will not let go
