To be honest, this book began as a dare. My sister writes for a living and my ignorant ass thought writing is the easiest thing to do, so she dared me to write my own book.
Needless to say, I respect her a whole lot now...this shit is HARD! I applaud every single talented writer on this app, it is not easy coming up with a plot and characters and words...I nearly gave up about a billion times writing Fix You😂😂
Thank you so much for the votes and the comments, it felt nice knowing people were reading my work and it gave me the motivation to keep going. Fix You was inspired by my inability to find good OT7/ multiple partner stories. I personally believe the happily-ever-after ending in those stories are a little cringe, especially where the main character ends up with all of the guys🤔 Like, how?? No jealousy? No indecision? No angst? I tried my best to portray a more realistic ending, and it was always my intention that Ivy does not end up with any of the guys, mostly because I couldn't decide who to choose lol
As for Ivy's nationality, again, not much African representation in fanfics and since I'm Kenyan I thought, why not? Also, her speech to the world is what I wish I could tell people if given a chance. I am a huge BTS fan since 2019 and I love all of them( maybe I love the rap line a little more) but I wish they would just date openly. One, because I want them to be happy, and two, so that delusional fans can get a reality check. IDOLS AREN'T YOUR BOYFRIENDS/GIRLFRIENDS. Just stop it.
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+, I made the Jimin in this story gay for no other reason than it seemed cool lmao. I LOVE boyxboy fanfics, especially BTS ones, they are so beautifully written😍 If you want, go check out the books on my reading list... I wish I could write like that.
