    Dylan's pov,

     Walking away from the black-haired lady, I was quite relieved to know that she wasn't following me again. She had looked like she wouldn't back down and I wouldn't know why she did, but I was grateful she did.

   Looking down at the floor with my hoodie over my head, I didn't see the lady hurrying in my direction until I collided with her and the books in her hand fell to the floor, "oh my god, I'm so sorry" she muttered bending to pick her books and I walked away without saying anything.

   I wouldn't like for anyone to register my face or recognize me later and considering that, I think I already had enough of going out today, I had to drink and by drink.. I didn't mean beer. Taking a left in the direction of the school's door, I walked out of it and out the gates before going into the woods right beside the school.

   Few seconds later, I walked into the house I shared with Cassius, my guardian as well as best friend and plopped down on the living room chair,

   "Did you go running through the woods again" he said coming out of the room and I shrugged,

   "What of you?, Didn't go to the hospital anymore?",

   He dropped down on the couch beside me and shrugged too,

    "Oh I did..",

     "And how was it?",

    "Okay... I guess",

    "So you're really going to work there?",

    "Hmm hmm, it has a few patients and things are quite peaceful there",

    "What if things get out of hand, you're just a vampire like me and I'm having a hard time controlling my hunger, not to talk of now being around blood 24/7",

    "We're different..",

    "In what way?",

    "887 years",

     "What's that?",

     "I'm eight hundred and eighty seven years older than you, so I have more control",

     "But..",

     "Hey Dylan..., I'll be fine. So tell me, how was the college?",

     "Well, I got a partner immediately I walked in and there are a lot of people there with lousy thoughts, jeez hearing the lewd thoughts of every guy would make me go crazy",

    "You know you can block them out",

    "Yeah, just wanted to know what the students were like",

    "Hmm..",

    "Though there was one lady....",

    "What of her?",

    "Her thoughts.., I couldn't read them, no matter how hard I tried",

    "That's quite normal, there are some people's mind we just can't read",

    "Whatever".

     Standing up from the couch, I headed for the basement, "I'm going to grab a drink and then sleep, it's been long since I had a good rest",

    "Suit yourself but hey..",

    I turned around,

    "Don't skip school again, choose a major at least for the time we'll be here and settle everything.. you know what I mean",

    I nodded my head and then continued down the basement where our stack of blood were.

     Unknown pov,

   Moving quickly among the large forest and trees, the three tall men opened up their senses feeling the familiar ripple of strength move through them,

   "Found him yet?" One of them asked and the tallest among them shook his head,

   "No, seems like he blocked me out the moment they spelled us there... I'm so going to kill him",

    "Try harder, maybe you'll find something",

    "No.. wait, it's like I just felt something..., this way",

     Heading in the direction he pointed, the three men continued their search for the one person they had a score with and they wouldn't relax till they settled it.

  Mia's pov,

   The knock sounded on the door repeatedly and I yelled, "coming!",

   I quickly wiped my wet hands which I had been using to do the dishes and hurried to open the door, "ivy.." I said on opening the door and seeing her,

   "Hey Mia, mind if I come in",

    "No, come in
