"didn't i tell you to stay at the headquarters?" donghyuck was shocked to see haewon standing right infront of him when he cleary remembers the moment when he said that she should stay at the headquarters.
"yes but i wanted to go hyuck" haewon was genuine about this. she wanted to go to prom just like her classmates, she wanted to enjoy this.
"don't you realize that you're deliberately putting yourself into danger hae" donghyuck wasn't mad, he was simply worried for haewon.
"i know that bu-"
"but what? you'd risk yourself just for some dance?" he said, this was the hardest part of getting attached to someone, worrying. donghyuck was worried for haewon, extremely worried, obviously.
"it's my last year of prom before college, let me enjoy this. i've already had a rough childhood, please let me enjoy for one night" with sadness visible in her eyes, donghyuck immediately softened. yes, they didn't meet under good neither great circumstances, but with time, their friendship definitely improved. haewon's feelings definitely mattered for donghyuck. "it may not be that obvious but it's important for me, it's precious to me, hyuck. so please, let me have this one night"
"fine" donghyuck didn't do anything to stop her plans, he wanted her to enjoy as soon as he heard haewon's side of defense and reason.
"thank you hyuck" haewon smiled at him and this eased donghyuck up. he felt relaxed when haewon smiled at him, her gummy smile is precious indeed. "and haewon.."
"hmm?"
"you look stunning" donghyuck quickly said but unluckily for him, haewon heard it very loud and clear and decided to tease him for it.
"what? i didn't hear you?" she smirked and it was visible for donghyuck to see that she was teasing him.
"you look awful"
"you look awful too, mr. lee"
donghyuck's smile and demeanor made haewon happy. she was happy that they're now both genuinely getting along with each other and honestly, haewon loved donghyuck's company.
"mind having a dance with me, ms. kim?" donghyuck asked, giving his arm out as he waited for haewon's approval and permission.
"it's a pleasure to dance with you, lee donghyuck"
the night went on with no worries, just smiles and laughs from donghyuck and haewon as they spent their time together as normal highschool students.

haewon woke up feeling both exhaustion and happiness. she reminisced her moments with donghyuck yesterday, it felt unreal.
she went down with a big smile on her face but as she went down, she noticed that the noises in the early morning were.. gone?
as she arrived the dining room she realized that no one was there other than donghyuck.
"hm? where's everyone?" she asked while donghyuck was eating cereal while reading the cereal box.
"127 hyungs had their mission and the dreamies went to the arcade and went to get grocery" he answered her question then turned his focus to the cereal box once again.
"how about you?" haewon asked, making donghyuck pause.
"doyoung hyung asked me to stay to watch over you" he was lying actually, he lied to his hyungs as well, saying he didn't feel well so he won't be joining the mission nor hang out with dream. he wanted to stay with haewon as he knew that she was going to be alone.
"oh okay, i'll be in the training room"
"if you need anything, i'll be in my room"

hours went by and yet everyone still didn't go home, haewon was still at the training room. she wanted to learn how to defend herself so that donghyuck or her brothers won't be worried about her being alone from now on. "argh, ow"
soon, it started raining hardly and haewon was terrified, her traumatic experiences with rain caused her to have a phobia with it. and when a lightning struck around their area, she screamed very loud, alarming donghyuck who was playing PUBG in his room.
"sunshine?" he yelled as he searched for haewon in the training room. the training room was big and wide, she could be in any corner right now. "where are you, haewon?"
donghyuck then heard small sobs from the punching bag areas. haewon was there, hugging her knees and crying.
"h-hyuck?" she cried as she searched for donghyuck with her blurry vision caused by tears welling up in her eyes.
"haewon? i'm here sunshine, i'm here"
and as soon as haewon heard those words, some high-pitched sound rang up in her ears and within seconds, she fainted as donghyuck caught her before she can even hit the ground.
