"aeyoung-ie, why is hyuck mad?" doyoung asked her sister who was profoundly annoyed and irritated with every sound she heard.
she was mad at donghyuck, she was mad at him for almost killing mingi.
yes, mingi and haewon had just met for a few days but they've trusted each other pretty quickly again, just like the old days.
haewon wanted mingi to be with her like how he had supported haewon, even though she doesn't remember. and speaking of memory, mingi was the only one who knew about haewon's past besides from mark.
"i don't know oppa, why is he even mad? it's not like he was the one who got beaten up" haewon muttered the last part but it was audible enough for doyoung to hear it clearly.
"and obviously, you know why he's mad. so tell me, please" doyoung asked haewon as she refused to face him.
but doyoung wasn't gonna stop, he stood up and knelt in front of haewon while holding her head as she looked down.
"i-i.. he beat mingi oppa up" she stuttered and moved her sight to where ever doyoung's gaze wasn't at. with her shaking orbs, she doesn't even know how to face her own brother.
"mingi? isn't that the name you yelled when you woke up?" he asked, surprised as he saw haewon shiver in fear.
donghyuck was crazy for beating mingi up but why did he? and of course, doyoung was clueless.
"yeah"
"what's with him?" doyoung asked haewon and she bluntly looked at him before responsing.
"he..he remembers most of my past and he was the one who helped me before" she said, the weight on her shoulders were now light, she didn't feel any more burden and telling doyoung everything made it easier for haewon.
"is that so?" doyoung responded as he hugged his sister lovingly, he liked hugging his sister, it feels like home.
"yes" that was all haewon said before trapping herself to her brother's arms once again.
"talk to donghyuck" doyoung said unexpectedly as haewon's eyes got wider, pulling away from her brother's warm hug.
"what? no"
she refused to talk to donghyuck, she doesn't want to. after all, donghyuck hated her. or she thought he hated her.
"sort things out and befriend him, i'm sure he'll help you" doyoung tried to convince his sister only to get rejected once again.
"he hates me, what do you mean he'll help me?" she responded but yet her voice stayed quiet, it was already late at night and she doesn't want to be a hustle and a burden to the other members.
"so you're just gonna forget the time when you both were alright, you know, before i got hit by a car" doyoung laughed while haewon wanted to chuckle but she didn't. it wasn't funny, doyoung getting hit by a car, it was all staged.
"yeah but then he got mad at me" haewon said, remembering he pain she had to bear emotionally when he got so angry at them.
"well he had a point young-ie and besides, he was mad at all of us. but it's okay you can laugh when you're with me, i find it funny as well" haewon slightly chuckled as she hugged her brother and doyoung immediately responded as he softly stroked her hair.
"give me a week" she responded while cheekily smiling and doyoung couldn't help but smile.
"now, please. aeyoungie. for me" he pleaded and did a cute face in which haewon fake gagged at.
"argh fine. for you" haewon answered as she stared at her brother doing his little celebratory dance "but how? where is he?"
"just talk to him, it's simple" he said as he once again hugged his sister tightly, this time placing a peck on her forehead.
"yeah but where is he?" she asked and doyoung smirked when he saw the confusion smothered all around haewon's face.
"oh you know where he is"

"what are you doing here?" donghyuck asked when he saw someone walk by the fountain in the middle of the garden.
"i..i just want to say sorry" haewon said, she didn't even know why doyoung wanted her to say sorry to donghyuck.
"for what?" donghyuck retorted as he looked at the female right in front of him.
"i don't know honestly, doyoung oppa just wanted me to apologized to you"
"oh" donghyuck said, speechless and he probably meant what he was gonna say next.
"i'm sorry too"
