"LEE HAEWON WAKE UP IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL" haewon woke up due to mark's yelling and pounding.

"I'M UP" she yelled back. she groaned as she stood up, she wasn't the lazy type, she actually enjoys going to school, but today was an exception. well, firstly because mark graduated last year, leaving her by herself. and secondly, she was up all night since she binge-watched some k-dramas.

she did her morning routine and went downstairs to eat food, well cereals since mark doesn't know how to cook.

"you look awfully dreadful today, what time did you sleep last night?" mark stated as he saw the dark circles under her eyes.

"uhm pretty early" she avoided his strong gaze.

"pretty early in the morning?" he laughed and haewon awkwardly laughed with him. "what did you do last night?" the atmosphere immediately changed, it was scary yet funny.

"uhm i did my homework?" she made an unsure face and tried not to stutter.

"haewon, it's the first day of school, tell me the truth. i won't get mad" mark said, his facial expression softening.

"fine, i binge-watched k-dramas" she stated and mark gasped.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" he commented.

"look i'm sorry ma-"

"WITHOUT ME" he added and they both laughed at mark's remark.

"i'm really sorry mark, you didn't tell me" she said as she took a bite, stuffing her face with food.

"it's okay haewonie and it's mark oppa for you" he said as he pointed at haewon.

"ew that sounds weird. i'll sound like one of your fan girls!!" she exclaimed with a disgusted face as mark threw her a glare.

"oh yeah haewon i remembered, i won't be here later at night" mark said and haewon's smile dropped, she never felt safe if she wasn't with mark.

"may i ask why?" she asked.

"uHh the boss extended my shift, yes the boss extended my shift" mark nervously said, hoping that he wasn't THAT obvious.

haewon thought happily, knowing that this was for them, and so she threw her cutest gummy smile at mark who was smiling at her as well.

"wow your smile is so cute, wonder where you got that gummy smile" he said as haewon stood up, preparing to leave.

"thank you for the compliment minhyung lee!! i gotta go now bye!!" she excused herself and kissed mark's right cheek and hugged her 'brother'.

of course it was clear that mark and her didn't look alike, they weren't blood related after all, but they treated each other as siblings, and that's what's important for the both of them.

haewon walked to school, well it was pretty near so she didn't really have to take the bus or something. and even if they lived in a farther location, she'd rather wake up early and walk than to spend money and ride the bus.

she arrived school and crowds of people came across her, lot of stammers and conversations were heard, and they all had the same topic.

she was clueless, she didn't know who he was and clearly she doesn't even know what he looks like.

while daydreaming, an arm slid over her shoulder.

"haewon, back to earth" the girl said as she waved her hand in front of haewon.

"HYUNA!!" haewon yelled as she saw her best friend, they met last year at summer and they've been friends ever since.
