"mark?" haewon was curious, well, curious was an understatement even. she is wondering what mark was doing here and it seems like he knows them.
he knows the boys that kidnapped her. what if it was a plan? what if he befriended her because he wanted to kidnap her. she kept overthinking, she doesn't know what to do, all she knows is she was hurt.
silence devoured the hallways as the two stared into each other's eyes. mark was shocked, why was she here? did something happen? his questions remained unsolved for it was only haewon and the dreamies who could answer them.
"you know each other?" the silent tension was gone when chenle decided to break it. he was shocked as well. why didn't mark hyung tell them anything?
"mark, you're a part of them? a part of this?" haewon was mad, why did mark hide this from her? he knew that she somehow despised gangs and mafia.
"haewonnie" he said in a sweet voice, haewon wanted to give in. but rage was taking over her.
"don't haewonnie me! you betrayed me mark, you hid this from me. and it looks like that if i haven't found out, you wouldn't tell me anything" she said as she forcefully released herself at the two teen's grip.
"look haewon let me explain" mark said, haewon thought about it. well, she could hear his explanation, she owes him a lot to be honest. and so, she nodded at mark before walking up to him.

"so you're saying that you joined the gang ever since your sister died?" haewon asked for the nth time. her mind was still processing the things that had just been told to her.
"yeah" mark answered simply.
"but why did you do it? why did you join the gang instead of just doing other things" that was the last question wanted to ask, but it slipped out of her mouth.
"i lied again. my sister didn't die because of cancer" mark answered, his tone was sad and guilt washed up on his face.
"what?" haewon furrowed her eyebrows and pursed her lips together, waiting for his answer.
"you see, our rival gang, black moon, wanted my father's company. and so they invaded our family and killed us one by one. they killed her right in front of me, and i don't know why but they somehow let me go" mark answered, and the scene of his sister replayed on his mind. he felt guilty, they could've killed him, not his sister.
"oh...i'm so-" haewon felt sorry for asking but she got cut off.
"mark what are you doing here........with the prisoner" donghyuck's voice ran through the hallways and all eyes were on him. the dreamies tensed up at the sight of him going down the stairs and they all stood up, showing their respect.
"i came here to visit the dreamies and saw them almost locking my sister in and let her starve for days" mark stood up from his position to face donghyuck. he wasn't scared, they were best of friends before donghyuck became cold.
"your sister?" donghyuck asked, his expressionless face faced haewon as she tensed up. he was intimidating, his icy cold self scared the hell out of haewon.
"well, adoptive sister"
"you didn't mention yourself having a sister, well you did but her name wasn't haewon" donghyuck said, giving the siblings a judgy look before walking out as he scoffed. "and take the girl fucking home, i don't want to see her later. if i see her later she'll be dead"
after donghyuck left, haewon exhaled the breath she had held in when donghyuck entered the room. he had this fierce and dark aura around him and it made him look scary and intimidating.
"don't listen to him wonnie, he doesn't really like meeting people" mark said, reassuring that haewon was safe and what donghyuck said was only used to scare her.
"can i please go home?" haewon asked mark as she gave him her puppy eyes and mark couldn't help but coo at her.
"sure wonnie" he said before landing his arm around her shoulders and walking out of the building.

mark and haewon arrived home and haewon ran quicky to her room. she was tired, even though she may have slept the whole day. she was exhausted from shaking and standing and being ordered around.
"haewon i have to go. i have a mission" mark said while glancing at his watch.
"good luck and don't die" haewon said as mark chuckled at her. she had accepted what mark was doing. he liked being in a gang and even though haewon hated gangs, she would still support mark's decisions.
"love you too!" mark said and left.
haewon felt cold, she felt unsafe. the uncomfortable feeling was indeed taking up on her. it felt as if someone is watching her and that made her feel uneasy.
and before she knew it, gunshots erupted the living room. luckily, haewon wasn't hit by any.
"mark why the fuck did you leave me" her voice quivered in fear, again, she doesn't know what to do.

"donghyuck, mark hyung's home is being shot at" jaemin informed the boy who was busy skimming over papers.
"and?" donghyuck said and his gaze stayed at the papers that he was reading "i sent mark in a mission so it's okay, he won't die"
"yeah but his sister" jaemin asked, worry laced in his voice.
"what's with his sister?" donghyuck couldn't care less and he didn't even spare a glance at the blue-haired boy.
"what if she dies?" jaemin was trying his best to convince donghyuck who showed not even the slightest bit of care.
"so?" his voice was cold as usual and it made jaemin glare at him.
"mark hyung will become vulnerable and he'll see himself as if he is guilty. you know that donghyuck. and it seems like he loves him like she was his real sister" jaemin explained, he knew that haechan knew how mark is whenever someone gets hurt or dies.
haechan stared at jaemin for a solid five seconds before groaning and squinting his eyes.
"ugh fine, tell the boys to prepare for it"
