I woke up in my bed, still in the clothes from the night before. I quietly got out of my bed and changed into pajamas. I looked at my phone, seeing a text from Quinn, from over 7 hours ago,

Quinn: Hey, didn't want to leave you alone, but I wanted to go to the sleepover. I'll call you when I wake up. Also, you're really adorable when you're asleep.

Me: It's okay, I'm used to being alone. And I know, I've fallen asleep in VA before.

Me: I'm working on another song, I'll send you a vid of it in a minute.

I grabbed my ukelele and began to record the concept of one of my new songs,

(All song credits go to Cavetown and their people)

"Often I am upset that I cannot fall in love but I guess
This avoids the stress of falling out of it
Are you tired of me yet?
I'm a little sick right now but I swear
When I'm ready I will fly us out of here"  I didn't notice Burt coming downstairs and kept singing,

"I'll cut my hair
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh) To make you stare
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh) I'll hide my chest
And I'll figure out a way to get us out of here"
Burt sat down on Kurts bed, staying far enough away to not scare me,

"Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh"
Burt watched intensely as I played the uke and sang,

"Turn off your porcelain face
I can't really think right now in this place
There's too many colors enough to drive all of us insane
Are you dead? Sometimes I think I'm dead
'Cause I can feel ghosts and ghouls wrapping my head"
I looked up feeling like I was being watched, and saw Burt but just kept playing,
"But I don't wanna fall asleep just yet

My eyes went dark
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh) I don't know where
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh) My pupils are
But I'll figure out a way to get us out of here"
I started to register that my dad was watching and I slightly tensed up, but quickly got control of myself,

"Get a load of this monster
He doesn't know how to communicate
His mind is in a different place
Will everybody please give him a little bit of space
Get a load of this train-wreck
His hair's a mess and he doesn't know who he is yet"
Burt slowly took his phone out and began to record me,
"But little do we know, the stars
Welcome him with open arms

Oh

Time is
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh) Slowly
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh) Tracing his face
But strangely he feels at home in this place (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)"

Burt clapped his hands and set his phone down,

"That was lovely, Lili." We sat in awkward silence for a moment before I broke the tension,

"Thanks. I thought you worked today." Burt nodded,

"I do, I'm leaving at 10, figured you wanted some company since your brothers aren't home. There are some slightly burnt pancakes upstairs if you're hungry." I nodded, and Burt went back upstairs. I heard my phone buzz, so I grabbed it,

Kurt: Good morning.

Me: Morning. How's the glee girls and Kurt sleepover?

Kurt: Fine, Cedes and Tina were sad that you didn't come.

Kurt: Oh and you missed Disney karaoke.

Me: I'll text them, also please tell me that someone sang Hakuna Matta.

Kurt: Quinn and Santana sang that at almost 2 in the morning, it was comical.

Me: I bet it was.

I went upstairs and grabbed one pancake from the pile on the stove, I scrolled Pinterest while I ate. I was halfway through the pancake when my phone screen lit up, informing me that Quinn was facetiming me,

"Good morning!" I grumbled,

"It'd be better if you were here." Somebody ooed in the background, "I wrote another song." Quinn nodded and a pillow went flying behind her head,

"I saw, I'll listen to it when I get home. SANTANA! I AM ON THE PHONE!" Santana began laughing,

"Sorry, Q!" I looked at my phone,

"Dare I ask what chaos is happening over there." Quinn laughed,

"Pillow fight but add Snixx, lack of sleep, and Kurt." I laughed,

"Oh dear lord. Wait how did Kurt get involved?" Quinn sighed,

"Blaine sent a more mature message to Kurt, which he slept through. San saw it before anyone else and began to beat Kurt with a pillow. And thus chaotic pillow fight." I sighed,

"Blaine should know better than text Kurt when he's at Rachels."
