-time jump a little bit-
"Okay, so you want me to help you with what?" Sam asked again,
"I want you to help me write a country song for Quinn." Sam smiled,
"You must really love her to be writing country for her." I nodded,
"Yes, yes I do."
-time jump to the next day-
I had made Quinn come to glee rehearsal so I could play her the song I had written for her.
"Mr. Shue, may I please play the new song Sam and I wrote?" Mr. Shue nodded and I went up to the front of the choir room, and grabbed the guitar, Finn sitting down at the drums, Sam grabbing another guitar.
"She was sittin' all alone over on the tailgate
Tan legs swingin' by a Georgia plate
I was lookin' for her boyfriend
Thinkin', 'No way she ain't got one'" I looked over at Quinn who was hiding her smile in her sleeves,
"Soon as I sat down I was fallin' in love
Tryin' to pour a little sugar in her Dixie cup
Talkin' over the speakers in the back of that truck
She jumped up and cut me off
She was like, "Oh, my God, this is my song
I've been listenin' to the radio all night long
Sittin' 'round, waitin' for it to come on and here it is"
She was like, "Come here babe, I wanna dance"
'Fore I said a word she was takin' my hand
Spinnin' me around 'til it faded out
And she gave me a kiss" Quinn looked at me with the "Oh no you didn't" look, I nodded and she smiled even larger,
"And she said, "Play it again, play it again, play it again"
And I said, "Play it again, play it again, play it again"
I'd a gave that DJ my last dime
If he would have played it just one more time
But a little while later we were sittin' in the drive in my truck
Before I walked her to the door
I was scannin' like a fool AM, FM, XM, too
But I stopped real quick when I heard that groove" The rest of the glee club picked up that i was singing to Quinn and most began hollering and cheering me on,
"Man, you should have seen her light up
She was like, "Oh, my God, this is my song
We've been listenin' to the radio all night long
I can't believe that it came back on, but here it is"
She was like, "Come here babe, I wanna dance"
'Fore I said a word she was takin' my hand
Spinnin' in the headlights she gave me a goodnight kiss

The next Friday night
We were sittin' out under the stars
You should have seen her smile
When I broke out my guitar"
"She was like, "Oh my God, this is my song
I've been listenin' to the radio all night long

'Fore I said a word she was takin' my hand

Mr. Shue and the entire glee club erupted into applause and I sat next to Quinn,
"You like your Christmas present?" She laughed,
"I love it" I placed my lips on hers and wrapped a hand around her shoulders,
"Pretty girl." I felt a laugh escape her lips,
"Not here Lili." I nodded as Sam and Finn sat back down, Mr. Shue began talking about regionals or nationals or something and my mind drifted to other places.
