Milly sees me and immediately pulls me in a hug. She was laughing when she pulled me to her arms but when she pulls away, tears were brimming in her eyes.
"God, I've missed you so much, Meg! You have no idea!" she said as if the two men weren't anywhere near us. Our short emotional moment was cut off when Louis and Harry tells us they'd be in a cafe, taking Blaine with them.
Milly and I went around the mall just talking. Shes so enthusiastic, that hasn't changed, as she told me about their vacation and how Harry was complete gentleman all throughout the time. The two of us laughed because we both know that's completely rare for him to behave like that.
"Is it true, though? You're engaged to that curly haired bloke, yeah?" I ask her making her smile. A smile I'm so familiar with because, well, it's Milly. She's one who doesn't frown often, she's a big ball of crazy.
With that, I can already tell my question's confirmed. "Congratulations then! Have you set a date for the wedding?" I ask her.
"We're planning it autumn next year. We have to see how this turns out and-"
"Maybe get a kid coming, that's always a good start." I say casually making Milly burst out laughing. "No, I'm not kidding. It works."
This time, I laughed. "We haven't really talked about having a baby, that's not something normal between us." she says with a slight shrug.
"Thats fine. You'd be surprised. Look at how Blaine got here. Neither of us really expected it." I say and she chuckles at that comment.
Blaine was a real surprise and Milly was the first to know so Blaine's sort of a big deal for Milly as well. "I still remember how we hid Blaine from Louis because you two weren't in speaking terms and..." she trails off, looking at me apologetically.
"Things happened..." she went out with a small voice. Yes I still remember that night in the pub. I nearly lost Blaine that night and I'd never forgive myself if I did.
However, I can't see where I am right now if it wasn't for my son. He made me a much stronger person. He's my motivation to do better because, well, I have to for him. Not just for him actually but for my entire family as well.
"He's very charming, though." Milly says, smiling at her hands.
"Who?" I ask. Then she looks up to me.
"Blaine. Earlier, he still recognised me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. He's gonna be a really handsome young lad in a couple of years, isn't he?" she asks making me smile.
"Yes, I think he will be. I'm not ready for that time, honestly." I say, making her burst into laughter. "No, I'm serious. He mischievous even at 3 years old so I dont know where that would put him in a few years."
"Alright, um, first of all," she says, turning to me, "He's only 3 year old, Meg. You've got at least 10 years before he reaches that stage and second," she takes a deep sigh, "I don't doubt you or Louis. You've been very good in being a parent, you two brought him up very well. He's a very sweet boy, Meg."
I changed the subject quickly. I asked her how her family found her engagement. She was relieved when they were really supportive about it, especially her father. They're looking forward to her wedding already, actually.
"And mum talked about grandchildren which was... Awkward." she says uncomfortably, frowning making me laugh.
"See? I think everyone's in a hurry for you to become a mother." I tell her, earning me an eye roll from her. I nudge her a bit, in a teasing way, like how I used to when I want her to admit something back in university.
