"That's a dark colour for a sunny afternoon." Louis says as he walks out from the bathroom.

I scoffed and put my powder down. "Thanks it matches my soul."

"Ha ha ha, you're hilarious." He says sarcastically, looking down at his phone. "Are you almost ready?" He asks without looking up.

"Almost..." I say absentmindedly, crouching down to pull my boots out from under the bed. I sat on the bed and put my boots on. I tugged the laces and tied them as tightly as possible.

"You think you can get off early tomorrow?" He asks. I glanced at him to see that he's busy on his phone. "The lads have a game tomorrow night and I think I have to be there."

"Any reason why you're only telling me this now?" I ask him, tugging on the other shoelace. I tugged it too roughly that I hit myself in the face, shouting 'Fuck' at the same time.

"Whoa, calm down," he says, laughing. He puts his phone down and removes my hand from where I hit myself. "Oh that's gonna bruise."

I scoffed and brushed it off, "How late do you think it would go?" I ask him.

"Around 7 or 8 more or less... Sorry, Catherine just told me now. I thought it would begin at 6- why are you looking at me like that?" He asks curiously but with humor.

I frown and went back to tying my laces. "What do you mean?" I ask without looking up.

"Like you just swallowed something sour." He says calmly but I shook my head. "Let me guess... Catherine?"

"I thought you were guessing..." I didn't intend it to be that cold and bitter but it came out like that so no turning back.

"Do I have to organise a day for you to see she's not that bad?" He asks. I can tell he's smirking and finds this extremely amusing. Jerk.

"I don't like get togethers, it's emotionally draining." I say but sounded more like a complain. "And fine, I'll try to get out early but I'm pretty sure Vlad gonna do everything he can to keep me in."

"You call him Vlad, now?" He asks, his eyebrows raising.

I groan and shook my head. "Corwin, I mean. I don't know, he reminds me a lot of Vlad, you know." I tell him, putting my feet down and standing up to check my face one more time.

"Vlad? Your... Ex boyfriend?" He asks, sound uncomfortable. "Melanie's brother, Vlad?"

"Maybe," I say distractedly, adjusting the strap of my bag. "Let's go downstairs." I tell him and head for the door. The moment I open the door, I hear some sort of battle cry from a small boy downstairs,

"I never liked that Vlad guy." Louis says under his breath as we went down the staircase. I turned around and raised an eyebrow at him. He smirked, "just putting that out there."

He walks past me and goes straight in the kitchen. Edward and Melanie are standing by the kitchen table facing the door so they see me right away. Edward walks over to me and tried to give me a hug but I walked past him and pretended he never did that.

"Where's Blaine?" I ask mum who's drying the dishes.

"Outside with Luke and your brother and sister." She tells Louis, his eyes grow wider.

"Mum's here?" He asks her and mum cocked her head. "She dropped them off. She had to drive your sisters somewhere." Mum tells him and he immediately went out through the back door.

The sound of four children screaming filled the atmosphere just as he walks out. "Luke's glad he could have some playmates for a change. It's a little lonely in the house." Melanie says but I ignored her simply because... Because she's Melanie.
