I sigh when I reach the employee lounge. My bum barely touched the sofa when I saw the time.
Half past five in the afternoon and the twins' Christmas show starts at eight.

I didn't bother doing anything else but grab my bag and sling over my shoulder. I have my phone in hand and my car keys in my pocket. People would pass by me and ask where I'm going but I don't bother answering. I've got a more important matter to go to right now.

My bones instantly felt like they've been frozen just as I got out of the studio. We're in the third week of December and it's absolutely freezing. The snow's settled and there are snowflakes still falling from the sky. The snow on the ground is ankle deep.

Instantly I wrap my jacket around myself tighter as I make my way to my car. When I got in, I turn the heater on immediately to unfreeze my bones. I sighed and lean back on the car seat to adjust to the warmth.

I check my phone for any messages from Louis. We haven't been talking very much since the twins' birthday after that stupid argument. And when we do, it's usually because of the kids and we're supposed to pretend like nothing's there, no tension, for their sake. Although I'm pretty sure they've got a clue. They're not ignorant, especially Louise.

The twins are at home right now with Holly . We're all leaving the house together as soon as Louis gets there. He's currently now in the university, having a meeting with the Sports Director along with other coaches.

Louis
'Still in the meeting... I'll get out as soon as I can'

I sigh and throw my phone on the empty passenger seat beside me. For his sake, and for the twins' sake, he'd stay true to his word. I put the key in the ignition, turning it to bring the engines to life.

Slowly, I back out of the car park. The security's already got the gate opened so I drove out slowly. The roads are very slippery because, obviously, it's winter. These are one of the seasons when Louis doesn't judge me for being a slow driver.

It took longer for me to get home because some areas are covered in snow. Some are being cleared out, especially my usual route, that I had to go around. It's a very miserable day in London ever since it started snowing. The sky's dark and the clouds are grey. Feels like a apocalypse.

I got out as soon as I've parked it outside the house beside Holly's car. When I went in, it was Summer's voice I first hear followed by Holly's scolding. "What's going on here?"

Pretty sure they're playing a video game on the television, Xbox most likely. Holly turns around and drops the controller. "Alex isn't here?" I ask her. She shakes her head.

"He's got somewhere to be. Are you heading out for the show now?" She asks me, crossing her arms,

"If there wasn't a show, I'd stay home, I'm not exactly feeling my best." I tell her as I took off my coat. I hang it up on the rack. Holly gives me a weird look. "What?" I ask her.

"Really, you don't want to see a doctor? You told me you've been feeling ill since last week." She says in a concerned tone. I smile at her and give her shoulder a light squeeze. "You're not worried at all?"

I shake my head with a smile, "Don't worry, I'm fine. She's just moving a lot more right now." And right on cue, small numb movements fluttered in my belly. "It's normal." I tell her.

She's been like this all week, the baby I mean. I'm close to 6 months. I'll be 6 months in 2 weeks and I've been feeling her move around a lot. Some of the movements are a little uncomfortable and one time it was actually painful but I've had the same feeling with Louise back then so I brushed it off. Holly's been telling me it might not be normal anymore and it might be something serious.
