South Korea, Pusan
If Shin Bo Ra was alive, Soo Yeon had to meet her. Bo Ra was Mad G's leader, and she Knew the Seos, but she died three years ago; which meant Soo Yeon had to be cautious. GBanks warned and advised Soo Yeon to use Ahn Hee Jin as an extra pair of hands to verify the information Lee Bum Mi gave her.
Driven by the speck of hope which represented meeting Bo Ra, Soo Yeon didn't see what the danger could be; they were both dead. They should be able to communicate, but GBanks and FIXXIT thought it could be some trap.
Finally, Ahn Hee-Jin traveled with Soo Yeon to Pusan. Soo Yeon was to pretend to be the anchor's assistant. The house was close to the sea; no one answered when they knocked and when the door opened, the woman refused to receive Ahn Hee-Jin, who she recognized as a journalist. As the women argued, Soo looked behind their shoulders there, and she noticed a person in a wheelchair. Instinctively Soo Yeon pushed through and ran to the chair, where she knelt in front of the person sitting in the chair. Both Hee Jun and the woman rushed to where she was in the living room.
"Unnie, waeguré? [big sister, why?] Soo Yeon said with tears. Tetraplegic, the former idols head, tilted to one side, and her lips refused to obey her command.
"Soo Yeon, don't," yelled Hee Jin as the girl took off her cap to show her face.
"Unnie, do you recognize me?"
Bo Ra tapped her fingers on her chair's arms.
"She can't speak; the doctors said her brain is functioning, but her speech seems to be blocked," explained her mother.
Soo Yeon was not the only one seeing a ghost. Soo Yeon, too, was part of the walking dead for Bo Ra.
Three years ago, the singer cried as she discovered how mother and daughter tragically perished in a car crash. Guilt overwhelmed Bo Ra; she, too contributed by her death to the conspiracy, was mounted against the Seos. Like the rest of the population, she had condemned them.
Seo Kwan Gi had always been kind to the artist; the older man defended her even when the tabloids dragged her in the mud.
Kyung Gi was like an older brother and a true professional he observed the law, making sure everyone was treated equally at Satellite. Salaries, schedules, and profits of the company were transparent.
No one could complain about its management or integrity. What was rotten was the greedy shameless souls who worked at the agency, pretending to be good.
If Bo Ra could get up, she would have knelt before Soo Yeon to beg for forgiveness. She had no right to hide any longer. Time had come for her to restore the truth; it was her duty to reveal what she knew.
"Excuse me, eommoni, if we've come today, it's because someone who says she's your niece told us to," Hee-Jin explained, turning her gaze away from Soo Yeon, who touched the former idols face.
"Oh saesaengae [Good heveans], that girl doesn't listen. I told her I didn't want people to know. We've lived through hell these past years. But Bum Mi insists for us to do something. I can't let my daughter put her life in danger again; look at her. Uri Bo Ra is barely hanging on the thread of life."
Bo Ra tapped on her chair's armrest, trying to say no.
"Naaaaaaaaaa, tooou waaa juuuu," Bo Ra wanted to say she needed help, or she wanted to help.
"Excuse me, who is this young lady? Did she work at Satellite too?" Bo Ra's mother asked as she noticed how Bo Ra reacted to Soo Yeon's presence.
"You can say that, Eommoni," said Hee-Jin nervously. The journalist didn't want Soo Yeon's cover to be blown. One person brought back from the dead was enough for the day.
Everyone knew Bo Ra was the first Nirvana Blue case to go public. At the time, the police said the cause of death was due to an unknown substance found in the idol's blood—a substance which three years later caused havoc in the streets of Seoul, which were usually drug-free.
Who was the monster who brought this drug inside South Korea?
Senator Kang made Nirvana Blue his election's argument. If the Koreans choose him, he will clean the streets from this pollution, killing Korea's young generation.
Like Lee Bum Mi, Shin Bo Ra was a carefree girl who never dreamed of becoming an idol. With no particular dream or ambition whatsoever. People drove her to the job by their compliments and suggestions to go to agency recruitment sessions.
Bo Ra's outgoing personality soon naturally designated her as Mad LG leader even though Ah Ra enjoyed the solo exposition.
Bo Ra was one of the rare people at Satellite friendly with timid girl Hye Mi. The idol would always take a little time to teach the awkward girl a few dance steps or sing a verse correctly. Despite their age difference at the time of Bo Ra's presumed death, Hye Mi had felt as if she had lost a friend.
Now seeing Bo Ra in this state, Soo Yeon's anger piqued, "Eunnie, who did this to you?"
