ERROR 504: GATEWAY TIMEOUT

Seoul, Mapo-Gu

Sixty minutes before, Soo Yeon was apprehended.

The exclusive Ahn Hee-Jin got from Hye Mi got the journalist back on track. Hee-Jin was now an anchor for an uprising news show, where she related the news. Still, she also tried to tackle the issues people didn't want out on the table—regularly mentioning NETIZEN and Black Moja's chamber exploits. Hee-Jin followed the chamber religiously; the next day, she would investigate further, almost always bringing back an exclusive.

Ahn Hee-Jin stood smoking outside as she heard the minor shuffling behind her.

"승진축하드려요 [in-jin tchuk hade ryeo yo=congratulations for your promotion]," said the voice of the person standing in the shadows behind her.

"당신 덕분에 [dangin deog punae =thanks to you], I would not be here without you.

"Cut the crap, where's the file," the person said, stepping out of the shadows.

"Waaw, people do change. I would have never imagined you would evolve into such a pretty thing. Your mother has great genes."

"Never bring up my mother."

"Oh, look at this kid, are you threatening me? Oh, poor me."

"Stop acting like a victim Ahn Hee-Jin Ssi."

Ahn Hee-Jin smirked, but a part of her trembled as she remembered how out of the darkness appeared the ghost. The journalist had fallen to the floor in front of Hye Mi like an angel of death. That day Ahn Hee-Jin not only begged for forgiveness, but the woman made a pact with the devil. So Ahn Hee Ssi became a NETIZEN contributor and Gold member, paying for her past sins, but the agreement was not cruel. It was a give-and-take pact. The ambitious journalist rode on the fame of late Hye Mi's interview now she gave back, with a bonus of being first in line with the info.

For the woman, the young girl who stood before her was Black Moja's minion and a contributor like her self driven by her hate of the world.

"Tell Black M to be careful. Senator Kang has put a lot of pressure on the prosecutor's office and the police to stop NETIZEN," Ahn Hee-Jin said, tossing her USB key at Soo Yeon.

"Whose side are you on?" Asked the girl.

"I thought you already knew. You and I are more alike than you think. Like you, I'm on my side," the journalist said with a genuine smile as she watched the Soo Yeon disappear in the evening shadows.

Message from FIXXIT:

IN THE KITCHEN IN 30 MIN.

Soo Yeon did not work alone; she had what some would call a team. Two admins with whom she never met. One was FIXXIT; a computer prodigy met on a forum. Aware she needed help to protect the website's infrastructure Soo Yeon made a code advertised on some underground forum to hire an admin. Soo Yeon used the same method as the world's number one search engine to find talented engineers. It was an equation that gave a link to NETIZEN. People had thirty minutes to crack it, only one person managed, it was FIXXIT.

The other admin got in thanks to a donation that gave NETIZEN the capital needed to investigate: Hardware, software, accommodation, disguises. GBanks sponsored the first operations of the website.

The three members discussed on different websites and threads. They held conversations that seemed ordinary. Since there were no pre-defined codes in many dialogues, they understood most conversations by pure deduction. Sometimes FIXXIT would set up PGP's Pretty Good Privacy. The setup allowed to send emails and texts which, if intercepted, the messages would be garbled up. He avoided doing so too often Crypted words meant you hid something.

Today's thread was on a cuisine website, and so they invested in the kitchen thread.

Soon Yeon tapped as she walked, listening to her favorite tracks, she grew up in the music world, and even though this world was shattered, she still loved music. So she sang as she commuted and got out at Gangnam station.

"She's getting out of the station," Inspector Byun said in his earpiece.

"I've got her in view. I'm following her," Inspector Gwan replied, stepping out to follow the girl who swayed to EXO songs.

Only when Soo Yeon was a few steps away from her building she saw them. They wore civilian clothes, but the girl recognized the body type. Soo Yeon turned to walk away and bumped into Inspector Gwan.

"Where do you think you are going, young lady?"

Without thinking, she pushed and dodged the cop running like flames pursued her.

"그녀를 붙잡다! Catch her," yelled the inspector Cheol.

Soo Yeon tapped as she ran:

THE CARROTS ARE BURNT.

With these words, FIXXIT and GBanks logged out of the thread.

PM from FIXXIT:

GPS 8282

Soo Yeon went on her phone's maps, following what the GPS instructed. It was the getaway, but the girl stopped on her trail as she realized she did not know why they were there. Soo Yeon decided to opt for another approach. First, she sent a private message to FIXXIT:

GOING INTO THE RABBIT HOLE.

Once she sent the message Soo Yeon took out the SIM and changed it for the I'm a Chalala SIM card. Throwing the other in a drain. Soo Yeon had multiple SIMS portraying different personalities:

She had a (Naega jel jal naga=I'm the best SIM): This one was full of selfies and superficial contacts. A person going through her phone would imagine a brainless girl who thrived on futile occupations.

The chalala SIM was a fangirls SIM, which led people to think she was a die-hard fan of an idol.

The last SIM was prudence, shy-shy. It had three school contacts, the CNH cafe and Min Ha. It was Soo Yeon's. Unfortunately, she could not use this one. It was too out of character for what she prepared.

As she turned left, someone grabbed her, "got you," said the man.

Fifteen minutes later, Soo Yeon sat in an interrogation room.

안녕

Here you discover Black Moja's partners Fixxit and GBanks. Like you guys, Soo Yeon doesn't know who the other admins are in real life. They can be characters you've met or characters who will appear, watch for the signs.

Tiny Info: 8282 is a kind of onomatopoeia of palri-palri, which means quick. It repeats the pronunciation of numbers 8 and 2, which gives you the same sound as those for the words.

 빨리 빨리

Music:  G.DRAGON'S BullShit, it's a track I felt when I heard it 🤘

Thank you
