if the halls of the fatui mansion weren't already dark, scaramouche's presence made it even darker. the thudding footsteps of a desperate diplomat running for his life was heard by the dead; nobody else could hear him, or, even if they did, they refused to bat an eye.
while you were sound asleep in scaramouche's chambers, you were oblivious to the buckets of blood he had spilled all over the carpets and cushions of the main rooms; you were oblivious to him washing away the crimson red with the soothing hot water that calmed his tense nerves. you were also oblivious, when he climbed into bed with you - but he laid not next to you, as he just pulled the covers over you and kissed you on the cheek as a smile crept onto your face, sleeping soundly.

scaramouche's eyes narrowed down at the people who hurted you. he ran the bloodied ink quill down onto the paper that was drenched in the pathetic names of people who've called you names, who've ridiculed you, who've bullied you - everything.
