The rest of the week was spent writing songs and getting our set ready for the club. I was so excited to be playing for such a large crowd. Lincoln and I worked together on a really cool duet. He kept surprising us with his range and ability. He's really blossomed since he came out and I'm so proud of him.

Wednesday came and we were ready. All our friends were in the audience and we were backstage warming up and getting ready while the openers performed.

"Alright guys." I said as we gathered in a pre-show huddle, "This is our biggest show ever, but this is no different from any other show. We're going to go out there and kill it tonight."

"Let's do this shit!" Dean cheered.

The openers left the stage and there was a short break before we went on. When we finally walked out, the crowd lost it. I walked up to the microphone with a smile as I started singing.

(Deathwish by Stand Atlantic)

We were quiet, going for the build until everyone joined in. I let the music wash over me as I sang. It wasn't exactly a happy song, but it was the kind of music we loved doing. Heavy and sassy. I could show off my range, Dean had fun playing with the beat, Adam could show off his skill on the guitar, Lincoln even got to rap. It showed off who we were as a band and I loved it.

"Thank you!" I said into the mic, "We're Disaster's Calling and we hope you're ready to have fun tonight!" The crowd cheered and we launched into Painting (Masterpiece) next. I quickly found Daisy in the crowd and saw the huge smile on her face as she danced. That was all I needed, a simple smile, and my entire body warmed up.

The rest of the set was so much fun. Lincoln did I Will Follow You halfway through and the ladies went insane. Then we closed on Breaking Up. It was exhilarating to hear so many people singing along to our song. My entire body was humming with energy by the time I had finished. I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out.

Once we finished, we all stood at the edge of the stage basking in the moment. Dean put his arm around me, hugging me in close. I didn't care right now that he was sweaty, hell I was too. Adam jumped on Dean and Lincoln just gave me a thump on the back before we left the stage.

"Holy shit!" Adam yelled once we got into the back room. He was practically jumping off the walls, "That was awesome! Oh my god! That crowd was electric!"

Suddenly, Daisy was running into the room and tackling me in a hug. "Oh my god, you were amazing!" She said as she peppered kisses all over my face, "I can't believe you wrote a song for me!"

"That was incredible guys." Mark said as he stepped into the back room, "I've had a lot of bands play here but that is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time."

"We played Closer to the Heart just for you man," Lincoln said from his spot on the couch with Jack.

"Thank you for that." Mark smiled, "You sound absolutely incredible live. I could really tell you were enjoying yourselves on stage."

"Thanks! I do feel like that was one of our better shows though." I said.

The door opened again and in walked Mel, Andrew and another man in a suit. "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to your potential producer Everett Huxley. Mr. Huxley, meet Disaster's Calling."

"Please, call me Rett." He said as he began to shake everyone's hands, "I do hope that you'll sign with us. I'd love to work with you. You are exactly the kind of people I want to see in the studio."
