The pang in my chest was soon replaced by something more powerful after I heard him say those words.

He's in love with me?

Hindi ako nakasagot, my mind actually went completely blank. I am just staring at him, trying to read him, trying to find for a hint that he's lying. But I found none.

He looks so sincere and honest. He is wearing his eyeglasses on, but the tears stuck in the corners of his eyes aren't undeniable.

The whole room is quiet, I can only hear my heartbeat that is now pounding so fast and loud, my heavy breathing and the subtle sound I make everytime I swallow.

"You told me to confess if Eureka is around, right? And she's here as of the moment. Do you believe in me now?" He said as he slowly took steps forward to me.

My eyes automatically searched for Eureka, kaagad ko naman itong nahanap, she's standing beside Adonis and their son I supposed. She looks clueless and oblivious from the real reason why her name is involved.

Lumunok ako at muling binalingan si Abraham na ngayoy nasa harap ko, he is standing in front of me with his tall figure. He leaned a bit and tried to reach for my face, but I took a step backwards.

And he didn't bother hiding the pain in his eyes. It's excruciating. Tinatagan ko ang sarili kong puso, now is not the time to be soft and martyr.

"Alam na ba niyang mahal mo siya?" Sabi ko habang nagsisimula ng gumaralgal ang aking boses.

His facial expression hardend. "Ikaw ang mahal ko-"

"Hindi iyan ang sagot na kailangan kong marinig mula sa'yo." I cut him off.

He sigh and licked his lips, he looks frustrated and perplexed. Mukha siyang nahihirapan. Nagtiim bagang siya at marahang umiling.

"No, I didn't tell her." Sagot niya habang nakatingin ng mariin sa akin.

Suminghap ako. Gusto kong matawa, gusto ko siyang murahin, gusto ko siyang saktan, pero sa huli ay parang tanga nalang akong napatango-tango habang umaatras.

"Hulaan ko, mahal mo ako ngayon kasi ikakasal na siya sa kapatid mo. Tama?" Matabang kong sambit.

"You're overthinking again, Heart-"

"Sa dyan ako magaling eh! Abraham, diba? Nakiusap ako sa'yo, na tama na, tigilan mo na ako, hayaan mo na ako, hindi mo ba naiin-"

"Paano ako? Heart, I am so in love with you. Tiniis kong wag kang pakealaman sa tuwing pinipili mong iwan ako, kahit na takot na takot ako kasi baka di ka na bumalik! Hindi ka naniwala nung sinabi kong mahal kita dahil gusto mo sabihin ko iyon kapag nandito na ulit si Eureka! I waited. I patiently did, just to what? Just to find out that you're getting married?" He furiosly said, but fear is lacing his voice.

"Sinabi kong tigilan mo na ako-"

He frustratingly brushed his hair with his fingers. "What else should I do then? Tell me how can I make you believe that I'm not lying? Tell me, Heart."

Namuo ang mga luha ko dahil sa hindi ko malamang dahilan, gusto kong sabihin sa kaniya na wala siyang ibang dapat gawin kasi hindi naman ako maniniwala, pero hikbi lang ang lumalabas sa bibig ko.
