RECAP

As I walked down the stairs, I saw michael biking in my direction to get to kingston.

I looked away thinking that he wouldn't notice it was me.

"Rae!" I heard his voice

"shit" i said to myself

"hey" i said with little to no emotion in my voice.

He slowed down and his bike got off to come over to talk to me.

"I haven't seen you in a while" he said

"mmn yea" I replied emotionless

"Rae are you okay? He asked

PRESENT

"why wouldn't I be?" I replied confused yet a little rude.

"you've been acting weird for two months now...and i don't know to do about it" he replied

I shrugged in response and kept walking.

I heard him sigh and get back on his bike.

I followed where my feet took me.....

15 MINS LATER

I looked out at the lake in front of me as I sat on a rock by the water hitting my vape...trying to make all of my pain and worries go away.

I've always felt at peace and safe by water. It's a little weird if you really think about it. haha. I always spent my summers at my grandparents cottage with my family.

"how come I always run into you?" Said a voice behind me

I turned my head to look behind me.

There stood Josh Hall.

I smiled slightly and turned my head towards the lake once again. It was only a few seconds until I saw a body out of the corner of my eye sitting beside me.

"You vape a lot" Josh stated

"mhm" I replied

"You're gonna kill yourself sooner or later by doing that" he said as the grabbed the vape out of my hand.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing!?" I raised my voice

"You'll thank me later bubs" He said

"Don't call me that" I said with little emotion
