Chapter 38

Hey guys! just want to clear things out that I decided to change the ages of the main characters (Lauren and Alexander) Lauren is 20 years old and Alexander is 23 okay? :) (just to avoid any confusions in the future chapters!)

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and waves crashing. This was the most peaceful sleep I have ever had in my twenty years of existence. I turn around only to find that Xander wasn't beside me anymore. The sheet beside me was cold, telling
me that Xander probably left a few hours ago.

I stretch my whole body with a groan leaving my mouth. I push myself up and looked at the clock

12:26

I slept longer than I expected. I quickly got out of the bed, completely forgetting about my leg. The second that my right leg touched the floor carelessly, my leg started throbbing earning a loud groan from me.

I winced in pain and took deep breaths while waiting for the pain to subside

Stupid jellyfish

I carefully stand up, putting all of my weight on my left leg. I started limping carefully to the door.

I got out of the room and saw Andrea coming out of her room. She looks at me and runs quickly to assist me

"You good?" She asked, holding out her arm which I thankfully held on to

"Yeah, I'm starting to get used to using one leg more often" I chuckled "Well I guess we should just chop off this baby then" She said, pointing at my right leg.

I shook my head, grinning while limping towards the stairs. Andrea all of a sudden stops and looks at me "Wait a minute" She said with a look I couldn't explain

"Wait a damn minute" A creepy smile forming on her lips

"You're starting to freak me out, just say whatever you want to say, A" I said, letting go of her arm and scooting away from her slightly jokingly "That wasn't your room" She said with a sly smirk

I roll my eyes, trying to act like sleeping inside Xander's room wasn't a big deal but my heart was literally pounding so fast "Well yeah, Xander offered since I can hardly move on my own" I said with a fake calm voice

"I bet her took care of you reaaal good, huh?" Andrea said teasingly. I can feel my cheeks heating up even more "You're so embarrassing, stop it! I'm freaking injured so whatever you're thinking right now is impossible" I muttered out. I bet my face looked like a tomato.

"Whatever, I bet that won't stop Alexander Woods" Andrea shrugged "Stop!" I groaned, wishing I could just run away from this conversation.

Andrea assists me carefully downstairs and I see all of the boys except Xander in the living room

"How's your leg, brunette?" David asked, standing up from the couch "Well I can still feel it, so that's a good sign right?" David laughs "Definitely"

The others started asking me about my leg and after answering a few questions, I couldn't help but wonder where Xander was

I clear my throat "David?" I said quietly. He looks at me, waiting for me to continue "Where's Xander?" I asked casually earning a smirk from David. I immediately regret asking him because it was quite obvious that he was going to tease me about it.
