"Okay, guys, time's up, I hope you all managed to finish that test," Mr. Woods looked at us with his icy cold blue eyes, frowning slightly, "if not, I'm sad to say that there is a big chance you will not get an A." A chorus of groans erupted through the class. "Finals aren't just a joke, guys. Do study harder next time." He said monotonously, as if he had memorized the speech a hundred times.

I bet deep down inside he cares for us. Deep, deep, deep, deep down inside.

As we handed our papers in, the noisy, ear-splitting sound of a microphone's static echoed through the room, the terrible noise coming from the speakers that were placed at the upper left corner of the room. Even Mr. Woods flinched slightly.

"Good morning, dear students," Ms. Gold, our V.P., said through the intercoms, her voice trained, calm and collected; professional. "Students of Mr. Baker's class, please go to the auditorium, we have some good news to share."

A series of murmurs spread through the crowd of students. Mr. Woods rolled his eyes in annoyance. He muttered something along the lines of 'teens' before looking at us, his eyes narrowed.

"Didn't you hear her? Students of Mr. Baker, go." He ordered. A few students, including me, dragged our feet out of the class and over into the auditorium, which thankfully wasn't far.

"Hey," Bryan muttered into my ear as we met on our way to the auditorium. I smiled up at him. After our little make-out session in the janitor's closet (we got interrupted by the janitor himself, which was awkward) Bryan had asked me out on a date in this fancy diner somewhere in the little town of Princeton. As it was my first time getting asked out, I was very nervous. We set the date to this Friday, in 3 days.

"What do you think this is about?" I asked Bryan as I walked, abreast, towards the auditorium. He shrugged.

"Don't know. You have any ideas?" He asked me.

"Might be a historical trip? Mr. Baker is, after all, the history teacher," I assumed. "Or, it might be a placement test. We sometimes have that."

"Not a test again?" Bryan groaned. "It's my second day here and I already had a pop quiz because the teacher said it was 'general knowledge'. Heck, I didn't understand half the things written on the paper. Tell me all the layers of the atmosphere are considered as general knowledge."

"It's not," I said, amused at Bryan's pout.

"Hey there," Dana said as she popped up beside me. Lily appeared on my left, squeezing herself in between Bryan and I. She glared at the guy.

"This spot is reserved for me," Lily stuck her tongue out at him. Bryan simply smiled, amused.

We made our way towards the auditorium, keeping the conversation light between us. Demetri, for some reasons, had skipped our class today, and Mister Prissy-Pants Woods somehow allowed him to. But I was surprised to see him at our usual spot in the middle row when we got there.

Dana literally sprinted towards him and grabbed the seat right next to him and started working what she likes to call 'the Ackerman magic work'.

Magic work, my ass. Lily sighed and took a seat beside Alex and Grey, they smiled at us simultaneously. Bryan and I sat together as Ms. Gold walked up the stage in her ever-so professional bun, with not a single strand of hair left framing her petite face, and her ever-so professional business suit and ever-so professional black heels. Her ever-so professional assistant followed her up to the stage.
