Together Again?

Alberto POV

I mustered up the courage to head back to Portorosso and confront them. I swam up to the shore and shook all the water off changing back into my human form. I walked around town thinking of what to say when I see them. Portorosso was the normal busy town I always knew, kids running around playing, adults playing cards or just talking and there were the fishermen who had just come back from fishing, but Massimo wasn't there. I shook it off as he just didn't feel well, and headed straight for the door. I opened it slightly, just enough to peek my head through, "ALBERTO!" I hear Luca shout from the stairs, I went inside and kept my head down I wore that now normal tired expression. "I was so worried about you..." Luca started crying, I lifted his head up to ask him, "Did you really mean what you said?" He didn't say anything and instead went to the tree platform. After we went up to the tree area and got comfy I went to ask him again "Did you mean what you said back at your old house?" "Wait you were there!?" He replied shocked I laughed a little "Yeah, I was hiding from you because I just couldn't confront you just then." I told him. "I understand. And yes" "Yes?" "I meant what I said at my old house. I love you Alberto." I pulled him close and hugged him, he hugged back, we stayed like that for a few minutes before pulling away. It was sunset and he looked so beautiful, his eyes glimmering in the light, I tilted his head up and went in for a kiss, he pushed me away and said

"I'm sorry Alberto but you need to wake up now..."

I wake up in tears I look around I'm still in Luca's old house, I couldn't even dream of us being together. I guess the truth is that...
