[Chapter two: The Mall Rats]

THE OLDER l/n sat down in the back as he ate his own ice cream. He listened to his friend complain about how his game has gotten weaker.

Gabe and Steve paused as they heard two people talking to eachother from behind the frosted glass.

Steve dropped whatever he was holding and ran towards the door.

"Henderson.." Steve pointed towards his buddy.

Gabe stood up as he peeked from the door and looked at the two reunited buds with a gentle smile, continuing to eat his ice cream.

Steve and Dustin enacted their handshake which made Robin look at them in bewilderment and Gabe chuckle.

"How many children are you friend's with?"

Steve's smile slowly dropped as he sighed.

Gabe occasionally checked the time, in case his lunch break would be over. He worked at a clothing store that happened to be in the mall, so whenever he had free time he would come to Scoops to hang with Robin and Steve.

Right now, Gabe listened as Dustin explained his super mega hot gf that probably didn't even exist, but hey, a man can dream amirite.

"So do you really just get to eat as much of this as you want?" Dustin gestured to the delicious banana split that he was eating just a second ago.

"Yeah, I mean, sure. It's not really a good idea for me, though. Ya know, I gotta keep in shape for the ladies.."

"Yeah? And how's that working out for you?" Robin teased from a few meters away.

"Ignore her."

"She seems cool." Dustin looked at the two guys that sat around him.

"She is."

"She's not."

Steve changed the subject. "So, where are the other knuckleheads?"

"They ditched me yesterday."

"What, no way bro." Gabe sat up, leaning towards Dustin in shock.

"Yeah! My first day back! Can you believe that shit?" Dustin looked at Gabe.

"Woah Seriously?!" Steve also leaned forward.
