Rebecca

After school ended, I met up with Ryan, Cody, and Rachel at the park down the street. When I arrived, they were already chilling out at a table with food from McDonald's as a snack.

"Hope you guys left some for me," I muttered as I joined them.

"Of course we did darling, we aren't completely horrible," Rachel chuckled as she passed over a bag of food to me. I love my friends, they're the greatest, and I'm starving. Lunch seems like it was only a few hours ago but it feels like I haven't eaten in a year.

"Alright so the plan is a road trip the first week of summer," Ryan informed me. YES!! I've been waiting for this moment my whole life. Road trips with your best friends are the greatest.

"Can I invite my other crew to tag along?" Cody asked us when he slid his cell phone back in his pocket.

"Why, so you guys can have a competition to see who can hook up with the most girls before we leave?" Rachel asked him disgusted. "I don't think so buddy."

"Agreed," I rose up my hand. Ryan on the other hand said nothing. All of our eyes were on him now. Over the last few weeks he too has become a part of Cody's game, but he wasn't as in to it as the others. Apart from that fact, he was just as bad. The guys around here really suck.

"I don't really see a problem with it," he winced as he awaited the punch I was about to give him. Lucky for him the food was keeping my hands preoccupied. I'll just have to hit him later.

"What?" Rachel shouted at him.

"Yes!" Cody cheered. I glanced at Rachel and you could see the steam radiating off of her skin as she glared at them both.

"It's a tie Cody, which means rock, paper, scissors," I smiled at him. I was a pro at this game. For some reason luck was always on my side each time I played.

"Not against you, it wouldn't be fair since you always win," he huffed. "Me versus Rachel." I groaned and waved them off. Ryan and I observed them go back and forth winning against each other.

"Rachel doesn't fail me," I begged her. Then the tie breaker came. I was sitting on the edge of the bench with my eyes pasted to their fists. Cody came out with rock, while Rachel, scissors.

"I hate you," she muttered to Cody, who came back to the table laughing.

"Alright so your man-whores can tag along, but we are driving in separate cars and there will be two hotel rooms. Understood?" I asked him seriously.

"Yeah yeah," he replied before quickly flipping out his phone. Suddenly Ryan groaned and let his head fall to the table. We all stared at the back of his head confused.

"I think I ate too much," he whined. Rachel and I giggled at the sound of his stomach growling angrily.

"It's not funny," he murmured, only making us laugh more.

"Rebecca please tell me this isn't true," Cody suddenly said with his eyes glued to his cell phone.

"What?" I asked after I composed myself. Since he didn't reply, Rachel took his phone and read whatever was on the screen. Her eyes were glued to it too, so I peeked over her shoulder. It wasn't anything but a simple text from Cameron saying that I was going on a date with him tomorrow. Guess I should have told him not to blab about it to Cody.

"You promised you would stay away from him," he frowned.

"Well, I did. Then I was in the library and he came out of nowhere," I replied innocently.
