He Tian's embrace was warm. After a traumatic night drenched in a savage downpour, Mo Guan Shan found it heavenly. But when the embrace gradually loosened, Mo Guan Shan noticed that the comfortable warmth slowly began to escalate into a serious burning fever.

Reaching out to place the back of his hand on He Tian's forehead, he immediately retracted hand as if he was burned. It's too hot. He's practically glowing in the face.

"Oh, shit," he murmured and slowly slipped from He Tian's arm, tucking the comforter around the guy's naked body. "Wait here. I'll. . . Fuck this shit, what am I going to do next?!"

Cold compress or porridge?

He decided to grab some hand towels and went to the kitchen to prepare a basin with cold water and ice cubes. Take care of the temperature first, and then make some porridge. He Tian would surely reject the food he got from Auntie Daniella's. Along the way, he grabbed one piece of bread and tasted the spring roll. It was already limp but tasted great nonetheless, so he made a sandwich out of it. Might as well eat as he took care of He Tian because it's going to be a disaster if both of them fell ill at the same time.

Mo Guan Shan wiped He Tian's face with a wet towel and he even believed that with He Tian's temperature, the water would sizzle. Of course it didn't. He Tian's not a cast iron pan. The sick guy flinched at the contact with the ice-cold towel and tried to swat his hand away but Mo Guan Shan pressed it on his forehead while restraining the other's wrist.

"You'll burn to ashes if we don't do this," Mo Guan Shan whispered, leaving the towel on. Upon looking closer, he noticed He Tian's chapped lips so he ran to the kitchen again to get a glass of water. He found unopened cotton balls inside one of He Tian's drawer and he took a pack, picked one cotton ball and dipped it on the water before dabbing his lips with it.

This is all his fault. He has no idea who He Tian's family were but whatever happens to him out here, he'll be the one they're going to blame. Maybe they'll finally kill him, who knows. He dreaded that thought so he shook his head and replaced another towel when the other one turned too warm.

He tried to wipe He Tian's body with a cold towel but decided against it when the guy started shivering after he pried off his comforter. So Mo Guan Shan went to the kitchen to make porridge. He Tian needed to eat something before giving him medicine. Judging from the untouched state of the kitchen, the guy hadn't eaten anything and it's already late in the afternoon.

His selfishness led to a lot of troubles for a lot of people. Back then, he'd believed that whatever he does, the consequences would affect only him but now it's different. With so many people caring about him, he should definitely think twice before doing something impulsively.

"He Tian?" he gently shook He Tian by the arm. "Wake up for a minute, okay? You have to eat."

He Tian stirred so he lightly patted his cheek to really wake him up and get his attention. His eyes fluttered open, half-lidded eyes registering the face peeking at him with worried expression.

"Ah, don't look at me like that. I'm not gonna die from a fever," He Tian groaned and tried his best to prop himself up. Mo Guan Shan helped him and he exploited the moment to kiss the guy's neck when he bent over.

"But you're burning," Mo Guan Shan said, his own face getting hotter too.

"Naturally," He Tian gave him a smirk but then he heaved and his cheeks puffed like a squirrel hoarding nuts. He pointed at his mouth and pointed at the bathroom. Mo Guan Shan panicked and quickly offered his back but He Tian only slung his arm on his shoulder. Guided by the red haired guy, they slowly made their way to the bathroom and He Tian slumped to the toilet bowl to release his puke.
