Days after Princess Aslaug had given birth to Ubbe, a pregnant Helga went into labour. Ragnar, joined by his wife, had ventured away from Kattegat until they came to Floki's home, along with Siggy. The men waited outside with Floki, watching as the future father anxiously paced about the room, muttering to himself with wide eyes.

"You'll be a great father, Floki." Ragnar said, patting Floki's back. "You worry too much."

"That child will be like me. Poor child will have me as a father." Floki kept muttering.

"Shut up, man!" Torstien said with a huff. "You'll be a great father!"

Floki, not believing his friend's words, only kept muttering on as he listened to Helga's screams and sobs until finally, he heard it.
The cry of a little baby.

"It's a girl!" Siggy happily exclaimed, looking towards the tired and weak woman. Helga smiled as her friend handed the little baby to her, her eyes softening as she held onto her baby.

The child had bright green eyes, one's that matched those of Floki's. Helga's heart warmed with love as she brought the child to her chest, shushing her small fussing.

Aslaug stood, smiling brightly as she left the room to find the men all eagerly waiting. She gently grabbed Floki's hand, guiding him into the room. "It is a girl."

Floki let out a soft breath, a wide smile appearing as he entered the room. The man immediately rushed to his wife and daughter, a gentle hand coming to rest on the small lump hidden by fur blankets.

"A girl!" Floki excitedly said as the other men flooded into the room. Ragnar wore a proud grin, coming to stand at the foot of the bed with his wife.

"Congratulations, Floki." Rollo said. "The Gods have blessed you with a beautiful baby girl... for some unknown reason."

"Come look, Ragnar. Come look!" Floki said, his wide eyes focusing on the Earl.

Ragnar grinned as he stood by Floki's side, looking down at the baby in his friends arms. Gently, Ragnar held his hand out for the baby, watching as she grabbed onto his pinky. Now, she held both Floki's and Ragnar's hands with a goofy little smile.

"What have you chosen to name her?" Siggy asked from her place in Rollo's arms.

"Astrid." Helga answered with a smile, her tired eyes turning to find the pair.

"Divinely beautiful." Torstien translated. "The name fits."

"Astrid Vilgerðarson, daughter of Floki, descendant of the trickster God Loki." Aslaug said.

Floki let out another soft giggle, titling his head as he found the baby's gaze on him. She continued to wear that little smile, squirming in her mother's arms.
