Kong!

"Hmm," Kongpob looked up from his computer, smiling at his husband, who was lying on the couch, relaxing with his favorite manga in their study.

Smiling back, Arthit replied, "Nothing!" before looking away.

Confused, Kongpob tilted his head to look at his husband. A warm smile spread on his face, and shaking his head, he went back to do what he was doing.

"Kong!" Arthit called again.

"Yes, Oon!"

Smiling brightly once again, Arthit said, "Nothing!" and buried his nose in the book.

Kongpob chuckled this time before going back to his work.

"Kong!"

"Yes, my love!"

"Nothing!" Arthit peaked out from the top of the book, giggling this time, and once again shook his head. Kongpob got back to work.

"Kooongg!"

"What can I do for you, love of my life?" Kongpob asked as he got up from his study table and walked up to sit next to Arthit.

Raising his hands, Arthit played with Kongpob's bangs, trailing his fingers along the length of his face, before tenderly caressing his lips.

"Nothing. I am just checking."

"Checking?"

"Hmmm...Checking if it's the same."

"What is the same?"

"The way you look at me. Kong, how do you do it?"

"Meaning?"

"Your gaze, Kong. How has it never changed? How can you look at me so? With so much love? It's unwavering."

"Do I? I don't know. It's the only way I know."

Arthit's heart thudded at the simple, matter-of-fact reply. He felt like a million butterflies fluttering in his heart.

"Promise me, you will always look at me like this!" Arthit whispered, a sheen of moisture sparkling in his eyes.

"Always! Always my love!" Kongpob promised.

"Always! Always!" Arthit repeated as he pulled his husband into a kiss to seal the promise.
