Harry's POV
After my last class, I head up to my dorm to meet up with Louis and head down to the football field for our first football tryouts. I'm so nervous and so many things are running through my mind as I walk to my dorm. I don't know if they're going to think I'm good enough. Well they obviously thought I was when they gave me a scholarship to play here. My only worries are that they will see my play and compare me to the other guys who are already on the team. I fear that they won't think I'm as good as they are.
"Hey mate," Louis looks up from putting on his socks. "Are you ready for tryouts? I got all your gear out from your closet. Get dressed."
"I'm actually kind of nervous." I rub my hands together as I stare at my football shoes on the floor. "Do you think I should have bought new ones?" I pick them up and show Lou.
"No!" He finished tying up his and stands in front of me, "You're going to do great, and the coaches will like you. They'll like all of us. We did our practice when we broke into the field." He laughs.
I nod but I'm still really nervous about this. I change into running shorts and my old highschool shirt. I put on my shinguards and my socks along with my cleats. Louis looks so pumped and excited, he did some jogging in place and about two push ups. He gave up and did sit ups instead.
"So I heard that we had to form a bit of a team for tryouts. So what I was thinking was that we do our play from back in the old days." He suggests. It's not a bad idea, and it'll calm my nerves a bit knowing that I'll be playing with my mates. "Liam goal keeper of course, Niall and Zayn the defenders, I'll be right in the center and you take forward."
"By myself?" I question. It's usually always me and Louis up forward. "Why can't you put Niall as a mid, he's good at it."
"We need as many defenders as we can, and since it's only us five, we might as well split eachother up that way. Plus, you'll be fine. If I see you need a little help, I'll go up there and help you." Louis says. "We have to make this team. This is why we are all here. We all got scholarships because we are good at it."
Louis was right. I need to get my head screwed on tight and I need to focus. I can't let all this nerve take over me and cause me to possibly screw everything up. I really hope it all goes well. I don't want to be stuck in an office or a courtroom like my parents for the rest of my life to earn a living. I want to earn a living doing what I love, and if it isn't football, it's not worth living for me. Edward was right, forget what dad has to say about my dream of becoming a pro football player, I'm going to do and prove to him that I can make my dreams come true. I will study hard and get my degree in law and bussiness but I will also achieve my athletic dream.
Marcel's POV
"So how was school?" I call Veronica after the lunch I had with Leeroy. He ditched me and went to the gym. Not to work out, but he said he was going shopping in the gym. I don't know what he meant because there is no store in the gym?
"It was okay." She says. She doesn't seem very happy. I can tell by the sound of her voice that she isn't. It's starting to worry me a lot. I miss her and I want to be with her but of course I'm all the way in London.
"I know something is wrong. Please tell me, I don't want you keeping anything from me." I say.
"I'm not." She answers, "I just miss you a lot and I'm just counting down the days until I can see you again." She says. Little does she know I am planning to visit her in two weeks.
"I miss you too." I reply, trying to hide the pain in my voice. "Have you talked to my parents yet? You know, about the whole case and everything? Are they helping at all? If not, let me know and I will call them."
