Marcel's POV
"Everything packed up?" Dad asks us all before closing up the trunk.
"I'm pretty sure," Harry huffs.
"This is it isn't it," I look at our family. Mum looks like she's about to cry.
Ever since that night at Veronica's, mum and dad finally turned Veronica's situation into a case they were willing to take for my sake and Veronica's sake. Veronica was very thrilled to hear that there would be a possiblity that she could be staying with her aunt.
It's been two weeks, since that night, and summer is over. We are now headed to CEU for two more weeks to settle in and then finally start our freshman year at uni. Time flew by fast and I can't believe we are finally leaving.
Edward's especially excited because he hasn't seen Tia since her birthday. He said that Tia's dad didn't let her leave the house at all but they still texted and called one another. It's good that these two weeks flew by because Edward has been absoultely mental.
Harry on the other hand has been as happy as he's ever been. He and Olivia are just stuck to one another like gum under a table. I don't know what's gotten into them, but they are more in love than I have ever seen them. It's nice to see those two happy.
"Where's Veronica?" Harry looks around for her.
"She said she was on her way." I tell him, and hope she comes soon.
"I'm going to miss you boys so much! Be sure to call me once you're nice and settled in. Don't forget to brush your teeth before bed. Please don't go to any parties," she says, specifically looking at Edward and Harry. "Don't forget to organize your toiletries and also keep an eye on your things."
"Mum," Harry laughs, "we are all roomed with one of our friends. We'll be fine."
"Not me," I say, "I requested my own dorm."
"Those never really work out," Edward sneers, "you're going to end up with a roommate. Probably some fucking weirdo. On second thought, you'll be fine."
"Ha-ha," I roll my eyes.
"I'm here! I'm here!" Veronica rushes out of her car and latches her arms around my neck, "I'm so sorry I'm late. Oh my gosh Marcel I'm going to miss you so much you have no idea how lost I'm going to be without you."
"I'm sure you'll find your way around," Edward teases, "Holmes Chapel isn't all that big."
"Shut up." I tell him and pull Veronica to the side so I can say goodbye.
"I don't want you to go," our foreheads touch. I watch her lonely tears, fall from her face, I don't let them pass down to her neck. I wipe them away and kiss her forehead.
"I don't want to leave knowing you'll be all alone when I'm gone." I grit my teeth and hold her close to me. "But I promise I will call you every morning before you head to school, and I want to be the last voice you hear when you fall asleep. We can skype the weekends and we can make it until Christmas."
"You're going to be so far away." She looks me in the eyes and all I see is pain.
"Just a couple of hours," I tuck the loose strands of hair behind her ear.
"The trip is two days." She frowns.
"The roadtrip we took was two days, the actual drive to London is a couple hours. Not sure how many exactly but it's not two days," I laugh.
"Whatever, it's still too far."
"Are we being pouty?" I try to make her feel better by picking on her.
