Harry's POV
My hall looks very party type. The hallways are filled with all these college jocks who look very athletic. Is this the athlete's hallway? Because that's what it's starting to look like. I walk by with one of the guys who's helping us unload our stuff and everyone seems to be staring at me, or maybe at the guy cause he's wearing a butler suit.
I finally find my room and use the key they gave me downstairs at the administrators office. I turn the knob and see Louis putting things on his shelf.
"Harry," he smiles up at me, "you're finally here."
"Hey man," I drop my stuff and give him a hug, "yeah it was one hell of a trip." I nod at the guy who helped me bring all of my stuff and give him 40 pounds for the help and he leaves the room.
"So I've taken the opportunity to take the left side of the room, if you don't mind?" He pats my back and continues putting up all his stuff.
"Not at all," I smile, "I've got the window, which is fine by me."
The dorm is a fair size. Good enough space for the both of us. There are two beds on both sides of the room. Two bedside tables in between the beds. Lots of space down the middle. There is a large desk at the end of each bed and a closet right next to the desk, facing the opposite way. I opened the colset and there is good enough space for our clothes and even shelves to put out shoes in. There is a big bathroom by the entrance door with two sinks and two cabinets. Great space to be honest with you. There is drawers and storage space underneath our beds. It's perfect.
"You better start getting organized, all your stuff is blocking the floor," Louis laughs. He's already got most of his stuff on his shelves, and now he's unpacking his suitcases, "you sure brought a lot."
"I bought us a mini fridge." I unload that first, "so we can fill it up with stuff so we don't have to walk down to the cafeteria all the time when we have to study, and a microwave."
"Great thinking," Louis says, "all your gear I bought is in your closet. Tryouts are in two weeks, you ready?"
"I'm not sure." My smile fades and I look down at the small mini fridge in front of me.
"What do you mean you aren't sure?" Louis stops unfolding his clothes and takes a seat next to me, "you're joking right? You can't quit, football is the reason you're even here."
"I know but my dad wants me to seriously focus on college. He told me that football was only going to be for highschool and once I got here, it was all about my studies." I shake my head.
"Just join without him knowing," Louis suggests, "you always kept your scores up in highschool while you were in football and you never missed a test. I'm sure you can do it here. Come on man, we can't do it without you."
"Yeah but think of how different it's going to be this year," having this conversation with Louis is really stressing me out, "we don't have all our mates, there's new people, better people, we don't know they're plays. The only plays we know is our own, everything is going to be different and I don't think I can handle that."
"That's why we learn mate," he tries comforting me, "you have me and Liam, Niall and Zayn. You're lucky you have us four here instead of us being off at different uni's. Isn't that plenty enough, we can make friends with the guys on the team."
"I'll think about it," I tell him and he seems very disappointed.
"Whatever your decision is, I'll support it, but don't think you're getting away with it so easily." He stands and places his clothes in the closet, "wait til the boys hear you say what you just told me, they're going to be pissed."
