Harry's POV
Marcel and I decided to grab dinner for ourselves at my favorite sandwich shop in town called "U Panini". Edward was going to have dinner with Tia and her family tonight for Tia's birthday. I kind of prayed for him tonight because although he made it clear to Tia's father that he was not going to leave her no matter how many times he was threatened by him, Tia's father still doesn't approve of their relationship.
Anywho, I'm actually enjoying this time with Marcel We are binding in a way and I like it. We've talked about college and what the first thing we were going to do when we got there was. Obviously the first thing was going to fix up our dorm, but Marcel was determined to check out all the science labs and introduce himself to all his professors. Me on the other hand was to head to the football field with the lads and tryout for the team.
I have yet to tell my dad about my plans. I do want to get into the whole bussiness career and of course study in case the whole football thing doesn't work out, but I know he's not going to like the idea of it. I was always the one being pushed to become a lawyer like my parents, which I'm okay with but football is my passion. Edward was never because he was so determined with his music career and didn't let dad push him out of it. Sometimes I wish I was so assertive like him, and not allow dad to make me feel like shit about my decisions.
I get halfway through my sandwich and Marcel suddenly becomes quiet, "Hey, are you alright?"
Marcel clears his throat, "yeah." I know he's lying.
I put down my sandwich and wipe the corners of my mouth. "I know you're lying. Come on, you know you can tell me anything."
"Maybe I'm over thinking this," he holds up his phone to me and I read the message Veronica leaves him.
He looks really worried and I am as well. He hold his phone back and clicks it off. He starts fidgeting with his hands and looks like he's about to panic.
"Hey," I reach over and hold his shoulders to keep him down, "stop. The text could mean anything. Stop overreacting. If you want to, I can take you to her aunts house so you can talk to her. You just need to stop overthinking things, I'm sure it'll be alright. She loves you, remember that."
"What if she wants to break up Harry?" He begins to tear up, "I can't handle a breakup, especially from her. I just got her back and I can't lose her again because of the distance after summer ends."
"It'll be okay. You can't assume things just yet." I push my plate aside and leave money on the table to pay for the meal, I probably over paid but that doesn't matter right now. I take my keys out of my pocket and stand from the table. "Come on, I'll take you to her aunts house."
"But aren't you going to Olivia's?" he questions.
"She won't mind," I brush it off, "come on."
Marcel quickly puts on his jacket and follows me to my car. It's loaded with the stuff we bought for our dorms, so hopefully Veronica doesn't want to come over because there's no way she'll be able to fit with all the stuff in the back of the Rover.
The drive is quiet with the radio on volume 2. Marcel faintly looks out the window the entire time trying to keep cool. I honestly hope nothing is wrong with Veronica. That message could honestly mean anything, but Marcel won't know until he talks to her. I feel good about taking him to come see her, although I might be in a little trouble with Olivia. I'm sure she'll understand though. She's too nice to be mad at me.
The closer we get to Veronica's aunts house, the more nervous Marcel seems to get. We drive passed the cemetary Lauren was burried in and my heart breaks a little bit.
