Olivia's POV

This family is always full of surprises. It's so funny just having a look on everyone's faces sometimes. They're always in such major shock about something and there is always someone who announces something out of no where. Gemma tells me it's usually her.

"What do you mean you're getting married?" Des looks utterly surprised by all of this. More surprised than most of us here. I had it coming to be honest. Edward and Marcel look very pleased with themselves. Harry looks, well I can't tell if he had it coming as well or he's just in shock.

I feel like they should have waited until after dinner, because it seems that everyone sort of lost their appetite. I imagined everyone to be happy about two people getting married after keeping their love going strong in secret. Especially when it's your parents, or grandparents. I'm delighted but no one else besides of course Celly and Edward.

"Do you not know the meaning of marriage?"  Poppy jokes with her son but he doesn't look so happy.

"Yes, I know the meaning of marriage," Des rolls his eyes. He's not liking the idea of them remarrying. I think it's a brilliant idea, when two love rekindle and move on from the past.

"Then why are you being so cross about it?" Poppy's smile changed into a frown in less than a second.

"I'm not being cross." Desmond shouts, "I just want this family to stop surprising me every damn chance they get!" He storms off out of the dining room.

"So no food?" Edward shrugs and Tia smacks his arm.

Marcel's POV

"This night was supposed to be perfect," I sit down on the couch with Veronica and she lays her head on my shoulder.

"You're dad has such low tolerance," Veronica sighs and I agree with her by nodding.

I'm very upset about everything. Why can't dad just accept the fact that nana and grandad are happy together again? That's his both of his parents announcing that they are reuniting once more. If mum and dad ever split up and got back together years later, I'm sure all four of us would be extremely delighted with them getting back together. Nan and grandad are showing us that true love never dies.

"I think we're going to head to a restaraunt or something in town." Nan and grandad walk out of the kitchen with mum behind them. "We'll let you all go back to having dinner."

"But we want you two here," I stand and walk over to them, "you're the whole reason this dinner is happening. We want you two to be here to show us what true love is, I don't want you to leave."

"We can have dinner without Desmond," Mum says, "he's bound to come out soon. We don't want all this food to go to waste. Let him throw his little hissy fit."

"Yeah." Gemma hands Ella over to Nan. "I really want you two to have dinner with us."

"I don't know?" Grandad feels a little hesitant about the idea. "I don't want him to be more angry with us that he already is."

"Oh come on Derrick," Nan laughs, "they went through all this trouble for us, we can't say no."

"She's right," Edward steps in, placing his arm around nans and leads her into the dining room, "let's go have some delicious dinner while you two tell us how all of this happened."

I'm glad everything is going so well, I just wish dad would be joining us as well. I feel bad leaving him out of this group but I want this night to go smoothly after all that just happened.

Harry's POV

We all take our seats at the table, Beth and mum serve everyone a plate. I love how mum helps out Beth with all the cooking and the cleaning. She's not greedy and makes her do all the work. Tonight they made some delicious bacon wrapped boursin stuffed chicken breasts with carmalized brussel sprouts and yorkshire pudding, which was requested by Marcel for Veronica. Although, she's not even from Yorkshire but apparently she liked them a lot because her foster family would make it all the time.
