Edward's POV
I spray on two spritz of my the cologne Tia got me for Valentine's Day and fix the collar peeking through Harry's cream sweater. I feel ridiculous wearing this. Harry said it would make me look less intimidating. He gave me a flannel to wear under this cream knitted sweater and the collar peaks through the sweater. I'm wearing a pair of jeans which is weird for me and my brown boots. I feel so strange but I do look less intimidating. My hair has gotten quite long so I decide to pull it back into a bun, and make sure no loose hairs are out.
I take out my lip piercing, eyebrow piercing and nose piercings. I rub my eyes and look into the mirror.
This is stupid.
I grab my car keys and head downstairs. There's a bit of noise, I hear Ella making babbling noises and mum and Beth chatting in the kitchen.
"Hey Harry," Gemma walks by and then stops, "wait?"
"It's Edward," I tell her.
"Wow," she looks at me up and down, "you do not look like yourself. Who are you and what did you do to my brother?" She teases.
"Shut up," I roll my eyes, "I'm not doing this on purpose, I'm doing it for Tia. I just want her dad to like me and maybe this will change his mind." I point to the ridiculous clothing that looks better on Harry. Even though we are identical, it looks better on him.
"Eddy," she fixes the collar, "you're attire is not going to change anything."
"I look less intimidating, don't lie." I say.
"Yes, of course you do but, that's not going to make her dad hate you less. Well, it might but we all know this is not you. Don't change for anyone, this isn't who you truly are, this is Harry." She smiles at me.
"Well sometimes I wish I was Harry," I look down on myself, "less tattoos, no piercings, maybe people would like me more."
"No," she shakes her head, "this is who you are. And Tia likes you this way, your family likes you this way. Your tattoos have meaning, unlike Harry's, idk what his mean, but yours have meaning. If you make her dad believe that you are changing this way, you're going to have to wear clothes like this all the time, and we all know you're not capable of doing that."
"He's such a dick," I complain, "I just want him to like me and to accept the fact that I'm not going to leave his daughter, ever."
"But this isn't going to help. You need to show him how much you care about her, the change in clothes isn't going to make much of a difference," Gemma is an ass.
I nod my head. She's right and I hate her for that, "okay."
"Now go change," she laughs, "you look weird."
I go back upstairs and change into a black button up shirt, black skin tight jeans and my black boots. I let my hair out of the bun and just push it back.I put my piercings back in, and roll up the sleeves to the buttton up shirt, revealing my tattoos. I put on my rings and head back down stairs.
"Much better," Gemma looks at me with a big smile, holding Ella.
I rub my thumb across her tiny hand and she smiles at me, for the first time.
"See," Gemma looks at Ella then back at me, "Even Ella likes you this way."
"Thank you," I kiss Ella's cheek then Gemma's, "be back, maybe."
I leave the house, and into my car. I drive out the gates and drive across town to Tia's house. I blast my music all the way there, and try to calm myself down before I arrive. Music always calms me down, so hopefully blasting it will help me become less nervous.
