Chapter 21: Luck

Ally POV

I wince as I open my eyes slowly with my mouth dry. There was a nurse waiting for me to wake up.

"Sweetie what do you want to drink?" She asks and I automatically know what to say.

"A-a-app-Apple juice." I stutter. The nurse frowns and nods. She walks away and I lay and stare at the ceiling.

My head is pounding. I feel sweaty. My hair is not touching my shoulders. It's gone. I really need to bite something. I look at my hands. My nails were black and white pattern.

Don't.

The nurse comes back with the juice and she puts the straw in my mouth. I start to suck on the straw letting the apple juice refresh my mouth from being dry. I could feel it go down my throat. I never have been so thirsty in my life.

The nurse sat the apple juice down and began to take my blood pressure. It was normal. I watched the clock move. Time was passing slower and slower.

Finally, the nurse rolls my bed back to a regular hospital room. There was a blonde in the chair and I frown at what I see.

Riker was crying. His head was in his hands and he kept running his fingers through his hair. He usually does this when he's upset,stressed, or just plain bored. He couldn't be bored. There's was nothing to stress-

Oh my stars. Riker is upset about me. Actually, I think he hasn't even realized I was in here. I open my mouth and try to speak but all that comes out sounds like a dying whale. He looks up at me with his eyes wide with surprise.

"Austin went to iHop. Well Rydellington and Rocky had to drag him to eat. He's been here for... Ever. He wouldn't even leave the room to go eat in the cafeteria. You've been out for three days," Wow three days that seems like a few hours"basically you've had him with anxiety."

I stay silent. Oh Austin why did I have to put you through this? Why couldn't you be with a healthier girl? A tear rolls down my cheek then Riker scoots closer and wipes my cheek. I put my hand out for a notebook paper and he grabs it with a pencil. He hands it to me.

"I'm sorry." I write and he sighs. He puts his arm around me making me get chills up my spine. Riker seems to notice and moves his arm and looks at me. "You look like a ghost."

I take his phone and open up camera to show my pale face and my really short hair. This does not look like me. In fact, I despised how I looked.

Just then, the door opens and I hear more than one footsteps. One by one, Rocky Rydel Ellington walk in. Lastly, was Austin.

When he walked in, our eyes met and he started crying. Like hysterically crying. He walks over and hugs me so tightly knocking the breath out of me. His hugs are so warm though.

When he stopped hugging me, he softly kissed my lips. "I'm so glad you're okay."
