"Why the hell is the weather in this town so damn cloudy? Would one day of sun kill this place?" Lizzie shouted from the balcony of her room.

The shouting wasn't necessary. Not when her entire family were vampires and all of them could hear her perfectly fine if she stood in her room shouting or in front of them whispering. Same as how Lizzie could hear them. Rosalie was packing something away in her closet as Emmett got dressed, Edward sat in his room and by how quiet it was he was probably reading, Alice was skipping from her room down the hallway, and Jasper was following behind her at a normal non-vampire or overly bubbly pace.

Lizzie gave up on her obvious frustration of having to go to school yet again. Normally the sun would come out and allow them to ditch at least once a week, twice if they were lucky. But not this week, not even the two weeks before that, and an entire month of attending school was in itself a hell of boredom. Lizzie already dressed minus her shoes and makeup walked back into her room. She sighed, sitting down on her bed and lacing up her black combat boots before going over to her dresser and lightly applying some lipstick.

Rosalie and Alice went shopping on the weekend to Port Angelos and when they came back, Lizzie's bed was stacked high with new clothes and her dresser was a mess of different make-up items.

She grimaced at how bright pink the color was and quickly removed it with the back of her hand. It looked horrid on her complexion and it made a shudder run down her spine thinking she looked like a clown. Lizzie hated clowns.

Shut up, Eddie. Lizzie thought with a scowl as Edward's laughter could be heard throughout the large house. He was laughing louder than he really had to, purposely making sure she could hear him no matter what.

Once her lips were completely free of the awful pink she reached for her normal lipstick shade. It was darker, both in tone and color, a perfect Maybelline that left a smile on Lizzie's face at the mere sight. She would just give the pink to Rosalie, everything looked good on her skin.

Racing down the stairs at vamp speed, Lizzie went straight for the fridge. Inside she found exactly what she was hoping for. Esme had stocked up on meals she knew Lizzie would like with the help of Carlisle, who went grocery shopping after his shift at the hospital. She grabbed a muffin and an energy drink before shutting the door and sitting down at the kitchen island.

"Agh, seriously! Elizabeth, how can you still stomach that stuff?"

"Quite easy, Rose," Lizzie replied. "You know, open mouth, insert food, and swallow. Nothing to it and if I remember correctly, muffins used to be your favorite once upon a time," she said, finishing up her muffin and mixing a blood bag in with her energy drink.

"It was," Rosalie admitted. "But now they taste like crap."

Lizzie rolled her eyes as she took a sip of her drink. She always had the urge to eat. Blood was the natural craving for a vampire but even so, it would never leave her fully satisfied not like when she added actual human food to her diet. Carlisle couldn't understand it but he gathered it had something to do with how she was turned or maybe it was just her gift in general. Humanity. Personally, Lizzie didn't care too much to know or even try and find out, she was happy just how she was.
