It was decided that no matter how hard Edward tried, he couldn't stay away from Bella and to a certain point, she couldn't live without him either. So because of this, the Cullens were moving back to the rainy and depressing town of Forks. Edward stayed with Bella while Dean and Alice went back to Alaska to pack. Lizzie, on the other hand, was just stopping by the Swan house before ditching her brother and secretly going over to the reservation to show Jacob she kept her promise to return to him.

"Lizzie!" Sammy exclaimed and hugged his sister. She hugged him back with a smile.

"Hey, Sammy."

"You're okay?"

"I'm okay."

Damon stood in the doorway watching the interaction. He envied what Lizzie had with Sam for the very reason that he used to have the same relationship with Stefan, but then Katherine Pierce entered their lives and everything went to hell. Never mind, Damon was glad he decided to follow Lizzie to Alaska and then down to Forks for more reasons than just her company. He now had something here that he never had in Mystic Falls, not even with all his so-called friends; a purpose.

"Damon... " Lizzie turned to look at him as Sam went to hug Bella and even Edward.

"Hey, baby Cullen. Congratulations on surviving the Volturi," he smirked, pushing off of the doorframe as she hugged him.

"I almost didn't," she laughed but Damon could tell there was no humor to her words. "How did things go here? Any sign of Victoria?"

They pulled away as he shook his head. "All good. No trace yet, not even a red lock of hair."

"Good."

"Victoria?" Edward asked as he and Bella emerged from the hallway. "What are you two talking about?"

"Victoria," Bella said. "She's here. She keeps coming back."

"She wants to kill Bells, Edward. Like how we killed her mate," Lizzie explained. "She's tried to at least twice already. But she's alone now, Laurent's dead."

"How?" Edward asked. "Lizzie, you didn't---"

"The wolves," Bella explained and watched out of the corner of her eye how Lizzie tensed, even Damon for that matter. "The Quileute legends, Edward, they're all true. There's a pack of them... "

"I know," Edward sighed. "I remember them from the treaty's time. Just... try and stay away from them, Bella, please. And as for Victoria, I'll get Alice to keep an eye out for her. I won't let anything happen to you," he promised Bella, who hugged him again.

Lizzie stayed with them for another few minutes after that, mostly for Sam and Damon. She sat on the couch with her head against Damon's shoulder and Sam cuddled into her side as the three surfed through channels on the tv. Edward wanted Bella to get some sleep, but she refused to unless he came with her. She was just so scared to lose him again and it made Lizzie smile, glad her brother finally found his mate.
