Chapter 5

Coughing out the water they all drank from the sudden free trip on the air, Nathaniel laid back at the pile of rocks and sand huffing for air as they still laughed at how the old hags voice squeaked at the end of her sentence probably out of anger.

"Damn, I've never had any crazy experience like that in my whole life"

Alexis commented as number three nodded and scoffed in response out of amusement. Nathaniel, noticing the blood flowing out of number three's arm alerted him as he went closer for inspection.

"Wait, when did this happen?"

He asked in a concerned voice which made number three flinch, "Ah, must be because of this" He showed them a collar attached to his arm, recognizing what that is, Nathaniel burst into fumes out of madness.

"Are you crazy?!! You could've lost your arm you-!"

Suppressing his rage, he focused himself de-attaching the magic suppressor, an item usually for magical beast who're out of control... and slaves with powerful offensive magic. But somehow, using that kind of spell (levitation) which could be identified as an offensive spell would've cut off his arm from his body.

"I mean it's fine since I'm-"

"It's not fine at all! So just shut up so I can concentrate."

Alexis, who has never seen his brother act this way, somehow don't know how to react except helping the boy who distracted the old hag, who was now unconscious since he can't take the magic suddenly being released, placed him in a more comfortable position.

It took him 20 minutes of full-time concentration before he releases the collar. Number three just sat there staring at the concentrated look of Nate, he never once experienced this kind of situation so he doesn't know how to take it in.

"Dispel"

With the word, the collar made a clicked sound indicating it was now de-attached from number three's body.

"How-?"

Seeing that Nathaniel had no intention of answering his question, he didn't bother and just let him do as he pleases, placing his handkerchief as a bandage to stop the bleeding.

Nathaniel, who had experienced the same thing with magic suppressors, traumatized him to the point he went almost crazy researching on how to cancel them, even enduring all the pain he had to go through.

"Thank you"

Was what number three had all to say and smiled at the little boy who had went to lengths to cancel the magic suppressor.

As the sun slightly peeked out from the horizon, did Nathaniel noticed the boys shiny ashen hair together with his deep emerald eyes of his, clearly mesmerizing him. It was the first tjme he saw someone really beautiful, a balance between feminine and masculine. Noticing the boy's stare, he looked at him and humed in question.

"Hm~?"

"You're seriously annoying, and I hate how you always act like your the boss around here and how cunning and calculating you are and the fact that you can see right through my plans and how annoyingly handsome you are, and i seriously hate that so you can just go die, but may i know your name? (Since I can't keep calling you number three)"

Astonished, and bewildered at the sudden honesty, number three burst out into laughter and so as his brother Alexis who was listening from behind them, which made Nate puffed his cheeks in embarrassment.

"Ahaha, that was a good laugh, anyway, the name's Asher you can just call me Ash"

"Nathaniel or Nate"

"Alexis or Alec"

"Anyways, it has been a great night I had spent with you two, this may be a short farewell but I'm sure we'll meet again"

After saying that, Asher took Nathaniel's hand as he gently kissed the back of his hand before flashing a genuine happy smile. Nate was surprise at how sudden it was, but he took it as a thankful gesture, though Alexis didn't like it.

"Ah! Hey you can't just-!"

"Young master Nathaniel! Young Master Alexiss!"

Interrupted by the shouts coming from afar, both Alexis and Nate turned into their direction but when they turned back to see Asher, he was nowhere to be found.

"Oh my Lord!"

Ellaina, their mother, couldn't help but gasped as she looked at how beat up and full of injuries her two young boys are. She wrapped them both into a tight hug as her tears continously stream down her beautiful pale skin.

"Calm down mother, look we're both fine"

Alexis reassured as he pats her mothers back."Brent, take that child, he's in need of treatment, he's the one who has saved us from the abductors" He commanded with his usual cold voice.

'He contributed little you stupid older brother, I'M the one who saved you'

Nathaniel silently complained in the back of his mind, while pouting on the outside. Still, saying that he was the one saving his older brother would've resulted into something much more difficult, and much more dangerous.

"Come on, let's get you guys home"

Ellaina gently stood up, holding both of her children's hands as they make their way to the carriage. "Ah, mother, have you seen three children who rode the boat ashore?"

"If you mean those three, then they are safe, they're the one who informed us about your whereabouts, if not for the knights, Miss Ellaina would've personally went by herself"

The butler voiced out earning a pout from the said person, "Gosh, Brent, you don't have to say that infront of my kids"

"Good job Brent, and mother, your health is not in the best condition so refrain from any excessive activities" Alexis scolded, looking straight into her mother's eyes as someone would at their child, Ellaina was about to droop and say sorry, that's when she realized that something was wrong.

"Wait, how dare you scold me when I'm the one suppose to be scolding your troublesome butts, just you both wait, when we get back, I'll give you your proper punishment"

"Ah Mother, how am I part of this?"

"Shut your trap Nathaniel Klein, sneaking your way out to find your brother and coming back with injuries, and also harming one of your maids just for that deserves heavier punishments"

Nathaniel gaped his mouth in protest, but can't find words to retaliate, so instead, he pointed his gaze towards his brother and blamed him his frustrations.

"This is all your fault brother, if only you hadn't gotten your ass dragged out by a bunch of low lifes, I shouldn't have followed"

Dumbfounded, Alexis couldn't help but scoff at the blame his little brother accused.

"Excuse ME?! Now I'm the one at fault? Who told you to follow me you moron? We have our knights stationed everywhere so it's no problem, blame your dumb ass for being stupid"

Nate couldn't take the insult his brother spouted, he threw a punch at him earning a gasped from the servants and knights from behind them, Alexis threw one in return, and another from Nate, and another from the other, this scrabble continued on, Ellaina prevented the knights from intervening not until one would collapse or surrender from exhaustion. But seeing that this nonsense fight would last until evening, since both aren't willing to surrender, Ellaina's patience snapped and personally put both of them to sleep.

"Now, shall we all head back? Grandfather, and the other in-laws must be growing antsy since we're all taking our time."

"Yes, Lady Ellaina"
