2- How To Dare A Nerd?

Carl's P.O.V.

I want to go near the girls, ang lakas kasi ng kuwentuhan nila. I wanna know about the new transfer student kung si Hayley nga ba.

"Look, look. I was right! That's the new student." Theo taps my shoulder. He's pointing the windows kaya napatingin kami nina Alex doon. There's a teacher walking near our classroom.

Uh, don't tell me may new student nga sa classroom namin?

My shoulder drops. I really don't like having someone new, mahirap makisama. School year is really getting boring. I was kinda hoping na kung may lilipat man, sana 'yung masaya at maingay.

"No, it's just Dare." Sam smirks. His back straightens as his gaze follows at the back door. "Nothing special, just him and his natural ways of getting in trouble."

"Oh! Talo ka, Theo. It's Dare!"

I'm so glad that teachers are walking here not because they're guiding a new student.

"That only means Dare got a warning again." Alex lowly whispered while shaking his head. "There's no need to be happy about it, Carl, Sam."

Yeah, he's right. That's not a good reason if a teacher walks him here. I got a bad feeling about it.

Dare, what is it this time?

"Come on, who forgets their uniform?" Sam chuckles, shrugging his shoulder. "It's Dare. Guys, from now dapat sanay na kayo."

His eyes faintly smile. I know he's trying to brush it off like usual. Tsk', si Sam pa, walang pakialam 'yan. Mapahamak o hindi si Dare, lagi siyang ganiyan.

But he has a point. Kasalanan din naman ni Dare, bakit niya kasi kinalimutan ang polo niya?

I saw the door opens. Dare got his uniform now and is wearing it, but the three upper buttons are still open. I laughed. Napagalitan na't lahat-lahat, ang tigas pa rin ng ulo.

Our school has policy to have only one upper button opened, but as I can see, Dare is still Dare. No matter how many times and hard pa siyang pagalitan. Ang tigas ng ulo niya. Nakasabay na siya ng teacher pero hindi pa rin siya nagawang sitahin.

"They could've done better." Saad ni Sam na nakangiti sa pagkakatitig sa polo nito. And Dare, as usual, he's just smirking and proudly walking in. He drops his bag on his desk's side. It landed on the floor. Alex shook his head.

Hahaha, hindi na siya nasanay.

"What happened, Dare? Did they follow you here?" Bumulong si Theo para makalapit dito. Ginawa ko rin iyun. Gusto ko rin itanong kung bakit ganun kaseryoso at sumama pa sila hanggang sa labas ng classroom namin.

Dare's smirk grew bigger. "Nah, they just told me to wear it before going in."

His expressions didn't change, the casual smirk never fades. He's nonchalant. I could see no fear or worries on his face.

I look at my right side. A little back, more further at the front, there I saw Mel. She's looking here. I know she's also curious about Dare. If it's her, it is not hard to guess that she also wants to check what happened and why's the teacher here.

I turned my back. Sa likod kasi kami nakaupo. Me and my friends are all sitting here.

I don't need to tell her anything. Malalaman at malalaman din naman niya. Ang nakakapagtaka nga lang, ay paano?

Sayang! Ang sarap lang sanang magtanong ngayon, pero wala nga pala 'yung tatanungin ko!
