HARLOW WOKE UP 2 HOURS LATER,

ellie sat in her room looking at her computer, a pen tip in her mouth as harlow groaned. "hello sleepyhead." ellie singsonged as harlow sat up quickly. hank. . she quickly got out of bed, "woah!" harlow ran out of the room, trying to find hank or at least someone to tell her hank was still alive. "harlow!"

harlow turned the corner to see hank laying in the bed, "hank!" harlow exclaimed, letting out a sigh of relief as she walked in the room. hank smiled at her, "how much time?" she asked quietly.   she felt a tiny bit better, two hours of sleep got her nowhere. harlow grabbed a water bottle, drinking some of it.

"2 hours?" hank replied as harlow sat next to him, "you really scared your boyfriend." hank smiled at harlow who frowned, hank grabbed her hand (not in a romantic way, in a comforting way). "don't be to upset."

harlow rolled her eyes, "me, upset?" she asked with a smile on her face, hank smiled back at her as harlow looked at the heart monitor. "i'm so-"

"silver, remember what we said years ago when you wouldn't stop apologizing?" hank threatened playfully, harlow swallowing uncomfortably. "this isn't goodbye, thats for sure." harlow opened her mouth but shut it back up, "plus, maybe you could use some of your 'genie zombie magic' a few years from now and i'll be back. perfectly fine."

harlow rolled her eyes again, "genie magic power?" she asked as hank chuckled. the two sat in silence, knowing it was the last time they would see each other again. harlow couldn't deal with grief, it was something that never clicked with her... at all. "you're a dumb bird, a very dumb bird."

"oh i know." hank replied, "no need to remind me."

harlow sighed, she ran a hand through her hair. "why is it always my friends?" she asked the ceiling, laying down next to hank as she clicked her tongue. "this is fucking karma."

"probably." hank sighed looking down at harlow, "i'm not ready."

harlow looked at him, "i would give you words of encouragement, but i say death is pretty peaceful." harlow muttered, "my last moments i felt nothing, just knowing all the pain was over, knowing i wouldn't have to suffer anymore. it was beautiful, death. i dont remember what i did when i was dead, but.." she looked at hank with tears in her eyes, "i will get revenge."

hank frowned, "i know you will." harlow looked at him before hugging him, "thank you harlow."

"for what?" harlow asked, her voice cracking as she pulled away. "i should be thanking you."

"i'm thanking you because you always see the bright side through everything, even when its dark." hank replied making harlow smile, "i love you silver."

"i love you too birdshit."

HANK HALL WAS DEAD.

hank hall was fucking dead.

harlow laid up on the roof, earbuds in her ears as she cried. the clouds were blocking the sun, which set the perfect mood for the day. she could barely feel a thing, no one came and checked up on her. she didnt care. the door opened, harlow stared at the clouds as a face blocked her way. "move." harlow mumbled as her boyfriend sat down next to her. "how's dawn?"

"she's dealing with it." dick replied as harlow pulled out one earbud. she looked at him, the tears falling down her face as she sat up wrapping her arms around his shoulders. dick pulled her in, the two enjoying the presence of each other, "its not your fault if you're thinking that." dick whispered, harlow shaking her head as she wiped the tears from her face.

"i'm fine." she replied, her voice cracking as she slowly started to realize she wasn't fine. dick gave her a sad look as she looked at the ground again, "i'm definitely not fine." she whispered as rain began to pour on them. harlow looked up, "great, way to match my mood." she mumbled as dick pulled her in for another hug.

harlow stopped him, she placed her lips on his. dick kissed her back, the two looking at each other sadly as the kiss stopped. "i should check up on gar." harlow mumbled with a small smile, she looked at dick, "dont be fucking blaming yourself grayson."

"har-"

thunder roared above them. "none of this is your fault." harlow mumbled, grabbing his hand as they stood up. harlow looked at her watch quickly, her face dropping as lighting flashed. "fuck." harlow whispered before running into the manor, she opened her phone, "reverie?" she asked as she jogged down the stairs.

"where are you?" david's voice rang through the phone.
