So, this one is extremely weird. I am pretty sure the flow is all messed up. I also want to put an NSFW warning. Some shit I wrote at the end of the chapter.

Enjoy, I suppose.

"I got you. You're home."

Kara was holding on to Alex as if she loosened her hold, it might all just be a dream. A delicate trap set by those Phantoms to torture her further.

Alex's sweet nothings in her ears assuring her that this was it. She was going home. Her family was here to save her. Her family…

She pulled out from the hug and looked around. Kelly was looking at both of them with utmost adoration. Nia was on the verge of crying out loud, Brainy was operating the console, but looking at her, again and again, to ensure that she was there.

There she was, focused on the task on her hand to get them out of this god-awful place. Her attention was undivided. Did she not notice Kara getting on the ship? Was she mad at her for something?

But before she could delve further into the fact, she felt all the energy and adrenaline rush leave her body and a surge of exhaustion took over her.

The next time she woke up, it was because of an awful nightmare. For the first few seconds, it felt like she was still in the Phantom Zone. But then a familiar warm body enveloped her in a hug and she clung back just as hard.

“Hey it's okay, it's okay, it was just a nightmare."

Alex was by her side comforting her.

"It was so dark and horrible."

"Is it about the Phantom Zone?"

"I don't… I don't want to talk about it."

"Okay, you don't have to talk about it."

She asked her sister for another hug and was enveloped again in the familiar warmth.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, everyone on the team was standing out there to welcome her. She hugged all of them one by one. But there was still an empty spot.

"Where is Lena?"

She asked around the room.

"In the lab, she is working on something."

Lena was working on an upgraded version of the Kryptonite suit. One that can store a larger amount of yellow sun energy. She wanted to be prepared for anything that could come.

Well, that and she was trying to hide from Kara. She knew Kara was too forgiving for her good and she might've forgiven her for what she did. M

Her head was deep in the new design of the suit when she heard someone peeking behind her.

"World saving genius using her genius to save the world?"

The voice was radiating warmth and that made Lena feel even more guilty.

"Just making some upgrades to your Kryptonite Armour."

She said not looking at the super.

"Too busy to even look at your friend?"

"Just… this is important. I promise I'll talk to you once I am done with this."

She could sense Kara's getting sad because of her denial, but she couldn't face her. Not right now. She needed to prepare herself before.
