Before I start, I want to say sorry. Just because it's a really bad one. Please do not read if you don't like sad stuff. (Extremely sad*). Also, if you are looking for a happy ending, you won't get one. You've been warned.

"But if you come to me looking for absolution, I can't give it to you."

These were the only words repeating in her mind over and over again. Was this finally the end? Did she just ruin the only good thing she had in her life?

She said she was sorry, and right now she couldn't do anything more than helping Supergirl.

She noticed it. She hasn't called her Kara in a long time. But putting a name on that emotion right now would completely devastate her.

The name that she had so much compassion for, the name she had so much trust for, the name that made everything in this world worth enjoying, was no more a name she could utter even in the silence of her soul.

Soul. Huh. Did she even have one? She left her best friend trapped in an ice cube filled with the only thing that could kill her in a place that resembled her home. The home that she lost all those years ago.

If she was being truthful to herself, Kara was right that day when she said she was a villain. She indeed was.

All these years she only wanted to be good. Never turning in her brother was her ultimate goal. She didn't only turn into him, but she also helped him in getting successful.

"I am a monster."

A mumble to herself. Everything needed to stop for a freaking minute. She needed time to process everything that happened in the last 24 hours. But that wasn't an option right now.

They were talking about Levithan's plan to wipe out the population of the earth through obsidian.

"If anyone can do it it's you."

Alex and she said at the same time. She could hear Alex saying a small 'Jinx' under her breath.

In a few more minutes Kara was in the VR. The brunette was sitting right there but keeping her distance to help the Super if she needed anything.

"I can not talk to them all."

"I can help you with that."

With a few clicks, there were billions of Kara's in the VR world. She sensed someone entering the lab.

Andrea was there. With a shard that resembled a very painful memory. In her alter ego.

"Andrea, the medallion, you've been activated."

"If I don't kill Supergirl, they'll kill my father."

"Killing for them, going down this path, it won't keep you safe."

"What do you know?"

Lena could sense the despair in her former friend's voice.

"Because I've been there before. I've done terrible things to protect myself and people I love, but it has never kept me safe from pain.

It just brought me a new kind of misery. I went further and further away from the person I was until one day I woke up and I was utterly alone.

Years ago, we made a promise to each other. You jump, I jump. I'd you choose to go down this path, I will be there. If you want to get to Supergirl, you're gonna have to get through me."

She was not sure if it was working or not. But she decided to believe.

"I believe in you."

She said and Andrea broke down. She started weeping and Lena decided to pull her in.
