Honouring Steve Edeiken 38 Years Later

Good Evening everyone. Noel is back in his Awesome Art Book bringing to you today a very special Tribute to one of the most Legendary Kite Flyers in History, Steve Edeiken. Steve Edeiken. Steve Edeiken was an American Man who dedicated his life to his entire Love for Kites! He was most famous In The Kiting Community as The Inventor of The Rainbow Stunt Kite, and Invented many other Kites and Kite Tools which he started doing with the help of his Wife in 1977. He was having a very promising life ahead of him! But unfortunately, his life was cut really short at the age of only 30... On This Day, 38 Years Ago, on September 24th 1983, Steve Edeiken and The Edmons College were in Long Beach, Washington attempting to set a New Record for Flying The World's LARGEST Kite! The College was trying to reclaim the Record from The Holland Kite Team who set The Record The Year before. The Kite Edeiken and his Team was trying to Fly, was the size of a Football field! A 115 Foot By 150 Foot Parafoil with Hundreds of Vents to make it Fly and catch Wind easier. Edeiken was the Launch director and motivator for the The College, and he and his Team tried as hard as they could for 7 Hours to get the Ginormous Kite off the Ground, but it wouldn't fly due to lack of Wind, since The Kite needed A LOT of Wind to make it Fly. After trying endlessly for 7 Hours, Edeiken decided to give everyone a break after tiring them and himself out a lot. While Edeiken's Team were having their break, he walked around the Kite thinking of a Plan to make it fly easier. All of a sudden, a HUGE Gust of Wind lifted The Ginormous Kite off the Ground! Unfortunately, Steve Edeiken's foot got CAUGHT in the Kite Strings and pulled him into The Sky as it rose into The Air! Because a Ginormous Kite The Size of a Football Field able to catch Air very easily would be strong enough to litteraly PULL TREES out of the Ground! It is THAT Strong! Which unfortunately meant that Edeiken was absolutely HELPLESS as he was Lifted into The Sky by The Giant Kite! Now because The Kite was very Strong due to it's massive size, it needed to be secured to The Ground by 2 Dump Strucks Filled with Sand, but The Kite Strings reached a Maximum Total of 250 FEET! Steve Edeiken rose 100 Feet into the Air! And his Team panicked with worry as they watched him fly up into The Sky! Edeiken was able to untangle his Foot from The Kite Strings, but it would have been better for him to keep his foot tangled because after he untangled his foot, he was only holding on to The Kite Strings with both of his Hands and that's when The Kite suddenly started to shank and swing in the Wind! At that point, he just couldn't hold on any longer, which through Steve Edeiken to his DEATH.......... As soon as he let go of the Kite, He fell 100 feet and crashed onto The Beach.......... Officials and Doctors realized that his Heart Burst on Impact as soon as he hit the Sand, killing him instantly.......... Even though the Record had gone horribly wrong, The Edmonds Community College did manage to Reclaim The Record for Flying The World's Largest Kite, and The American Kite Association Created "The Steve Edeiken Award" in Honour of his Legacy.......... Now I first heard about this Story during The Summer Of 2020 on a 2009 Canadian Documentary Show called "Curious And Unusual Deaths" A Show that explains some of the strangest ways people have died in the past, that I discovered when I got back into Niagara Falls Daredevils, and started doing research on Charles Stephens, The 3rd Person to go over Niagara Falls in a Barrel and The 1st Person to Die doing so. They talked about him in The Episode "The Barrel Deluge". Being a Fan of Scary and Dark Stuff, I immediately Fell In Love with that Show! And The Episode I learned about Steve Edeiken's Death was The Episode "The Great Outdoors" For some reason though, in the Episode, he was called "Ken Dalion" XDDDDDDDDDD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That Show actually gets a lot of Names wrong about people they have featured on that Show for some reason. XDDDDDDDDDD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And I was really interested when I first found out that something like this actually happened! And earlier last Summer when I discovered another one of my Favourite YouTubers "Horror Stories" and he made a Video on This Event as well, I started to become even MORE interested in it! And he found that out from that Show too! I HIGHLY recommend you give That Show and that YouTuber a Watch if you're a Fan of Dark and Scary stuff like I am! I promise you'll Love it! :DDDDDDDDDD 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Now I have been waiting for this Day for an Entire Month now. Not only because This Day's Story is really Interesting, but I had a GENIUS Idea for it as well! Because I am OBSESSED with KiteSwat from Object Overload! I mean, it used to be my Number 1 Favourite Object Show Ship of all time! I thought it would be very Sweet to Draw Kite and her Boyfriend Fly Swat at Steve Edeiken's Grave Stone at Long Beach Washington on The 38th Anniversary Of His Death. Now he wasn't buried there and you can be brought back to life in my Object Show Head Canon, and with my Imagination as well! But I thought I'd make The Picture more Realistic today since it'll be more Powerful. So here is The KiteSwat Drawing I made for The 38th Anniversary Of The Tragic Death Of Steve Edeiken. *Wraps My Arms Around Them And Hugs Them* Oh No No No this wasn't your fault at all! It was no one's fault! I'm very sorry Kite that one of your most looked up to people who Loved you and your Species with all of his Heart, had his life cut at a very short age of only 30.......... We will always Love and Remember him as being a Wonderful and Fun Loving Kite Flyer! And I'm very sorry to you to Fly Swat that your Girlfriend and you yourself have to go through this.......... Just know that there's nothing you two could have done, and at least his Team managed to Reclaim The Record even though it cost him his life, and at least he Died doing what he Loved, and at least he's in a much better place now. Alright guys well that is going to be it for today's Drawing. Tomorrow, I'm not sure if I actually will be going to Draw and Publish a Picture for Mark Hamill's 70th Birthday because I'M GOING TO CANADA'S WONDERLAND WITH MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS FOR MY BROTHER'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!!!!!!! MY FIRST TIME BEING THERE IN 7 YEARS!!!!!!!!!! Pretty soon, we'll be heading into OCTOBER! And BOY OH BOY do I have A LOT of really Cool Things Planned for October! So we'll see what the rest of September Brings us because there's only 6 More Days until it's over. So that's all I have to say for today. Rest In Peace To Steve Edeiken 38 Years Later, HUGE RESPECT to The Legend who Dedicated his entire Life to Kite Flying, only to have it kill him in the end.......... Being killed by something you Love doing is a very terrible way to go out, and we will always Love and Remember this Man for being The Fun Loving, Kite Flyer he was.
