Prologue

Life is so colorful, it’s up to you if you want to color it, how to give beauty and meaning, your own crayon is in your hands.

A loud slap landed on my cheek, its sound echoing in every corner of our house. I just remained silent while looking down.

"Do you have no choice but to ruin our family's reputation? How many times has this happened and you haven't learned yet!" Dad shouted at me while pointing his finger. I could see the angry emotion in his eyes.

I could do nothing but keep quiet and listen to his sermons. "Your mommy won't be happy with what you're doing! When are you going to get out into the fights you're having at school? When are you going to stop bullying your classmates? Answer me!" I looked up at dad. He still doesn't lose his sharp gaze on me.

"I'm not going to change, I'm this dad and no one can change me." Dad closes his eyes in annoyance. “What if your mommy is still here, what will she say––"

"Don't mention her dad! She's already gone––"

"Do you also not respect your mommy? It's not her fault that she left us because of her sickness." My chest tightened. Mommy said she would fight for me but no, she didn't so I'm like this now.

Dad blew air. "Apologize to those you hurt at school––"

"I won't do that," I said coldly. I'm not the kind of person who knows how to apologize, so maybe everyone is mad at me but I don't have a paw.

My life is like garbage, thrown away. Nothing has been right in my life, black color wraps the story of my life and I have no intention of giving it color.

When I’m always sad I always come here, I don’t even know why but I feel relieved in this place.

It's late but I still have no plans to go home, I know dad and I will fight again.

I grabbed my camera and aimed it at my eye, when I got the beautiful view I immediately clicked it. I smiled sparingly when I saw how beautiful the photo I took was, reflecting light on the water.

I was still not satisfied so I walked a bit to get another view, my eyes just focused on the camera while looking for a good view.

I could see the emotion in her eyes, I didn't realize I had clicked it.
