Chapter: 12

There are people out there who always support you, give them an eye and you will be enlightened by everyone.

The lamps in the dark greeted us, later on a man approached us when the light hit his face and I saw Mang Kanor's face.

I looked at Jazure who was just watching us. I motioned for her to follow so she could do nothing but walk next to me.

I just kept walking, they were behind me and still talking.

It was dark around the lamp only giving light to our way so our walking steps were careful.

"Doon ka na lang matulog sa amin so I know you're safe," she stopped because of my sudden answer. We continued walking again without anyone speaking until we reached the house.

I heard his sigh. Eventually he turned his gaze to Jazure who was watching the two of us. Its face lit up and spoke, "Sinong magandang binibini ang kasama mo?" he asked but I couldn't respond because I couldn't answer his question.

Grandpa suddenly laughed at Jazure's answer and I smirked.

I had just finished taking a shower and my hair was still wet, I went down to the cuisine where they were grandfather who was now ready to eat. I was wearing black pajama and a white shirt. I stepped aside from Jazure who was now sitting earlier.

We each took a meal, I just quietly chewed and my only sight was on my food. Grandpa carefully lowered his spoon and wiped his mouth. "You both go to the same school, don't you?" Jazure stopped eating and nodded.

"I'm just wondering because my grandson doesn't have a close woman, you're just the woman I met."

"We're not close."

Natahimik silang dalawa pansamantala. "Okay? So how's your school hija?" tanong nito.

"I like you, I like you for my farrel." I stopped eating, Jazure suddenly coughed so I quickly took her glass full of water and gave it to her.

When she accepted it, I immediately sat up when I saw my grandfather's teasing look at us. I don't know if it's a big deal for grandpa to have a girl with me, and then if we hadn't gotten lost earlier I wouldn't have taken her here.

Jazure was just eating quietly like nothing had happened, I don’t know if she could handle this setup but for me I feel like I can’t eat properly because of the tension between the three of us at the dinner table.
