Chapter fifteen

Third POV~

Gaara watched as almost all the teams ran towards them for the headband, midoriya being caught off guard froze up for a moment but it was knocked out of him and quite literally as Gaara's sand smacked him right in the face. 

"midoriya, knock it out and focus I will not allow weak-minded people on my team, I agreed to be on your team cause of how smart you are and if I knew you were this weak I would have declined." his sharp voice spoke to him bluntly

as if being smacked into sense midoriya smiled 'he thinks I'm smart, thank you Gaara-Kun, maybe you are kind' he thought as he looked up at Gaara who kept his gaze on the incoming teams heading their way, he couldn't help admire him.

"yes! you are right Gaara-kun than you!" midoriya said as he faced forward again, Gaara thought of a plan in his head and upon making one up he spoke to his teammates "I will be the one moving us place to place when we can not run"

they nodded as it seemed like a good idea as they saw Gaara carry himself for over two obstacles and not break a sweat "uraraka." when she heard her name her head shot towards Gaara "yes! what can I do" she had a big smile on her face.

"you will make us lighter so it will be easier to carry you all with my sand." he gave her a nod and she gave him a big smile as she felt good about Gaara acknowledging her, she saw how he shot down that pink-headed girl with no hesitation as he thought she did not have any use to him, but he allowed her on the team since he thought she was useful to him.

"midoriya you will be half of the brains of this plan, I will be the other half and if needed flick one of your fingers to make a gust of air at the other teams to catch them off guard," said boy gave a firm nod and slightly nervously looked at the other teams

and lastly "tokoyami, you will watch our back and block off attacks my sand can not and I will be blocking attacks from the front as I cant block attacks from the back so I will leave that to you," said bird nodded in understatement "yes, I will do anything to be of use"

by the time they stopped talking the teams were only 20 feet away, glaring at the teams he quickly made his move "uraraka! now," she did as told and made them all float and when Gaara felt much lighter and his feet not touching the ground he set sand bellow their feet like a floor which sand expanded bellow their feel and wrapped around their feet so they would not float any higher than needed

the sand quickly lifted them into the air with controlled movements, he had no problem carrying them away from the other teams and out of their reach "get them!" can be heard in the background and an attack was sent towards their back hoping to get their headbands but was blocked by tokoyami

turning the sand around so he will be facing the attack that is coming their way from bakugou, Gaara had pieced together tokoyami's weakness, dark shadow is made up out of darkness so it is only reasonable his weakness is light, explosions are part of light so tokoyami and bakugou is a bad matchup

sand went up and blocked bakugou and in which the blonde boy sneered in anger as he fell to the ground and was pulled back to his teammates, Gaara slowly went to the ground that is away from the other teams and kept running the opposite way of the other teams

"We do not need to steal the other team's headbands, 10 million points is enough, we will not risk the headband being stollen," Gaara told them in which they all agreed, footsteps could be heard from in front of him and there stood team todoroki 

Gaara glared at them but kept silent unlike midoriya "thought we would be okay and win but seems like I was wrong" Gaara clicked his tongue "midoriya. be quiet" said green-haired boy apologized and stared back at team todoroki 

"ill be taking that from you now" todoroki said while making heavy eye contact with Gaara, todoroki stared to give order to his teammates, Gaara saw Denki charging up for an attack and curse mentally, Denki is a terrible matchup for Gaara, electricity will make sand heat up to extreme measures and will make it melt into a blob.

it is only natural for Gaara to search up weaknesses to sand "I apologize tokoyami but you will have to block this attack, tokoyami nods in understatement "no need, I will take it" and just as he said dark shadow over in front of them 

the teams around them all shook as they were hit by the electricity, sand wrapped around their feet again and were lifted into the air once more when the electricity stopped, being cornered is not something Gaara nor the others want as it would put them in a bad spot

being in on the air and to knowing what their plan is would be bad, especially when Iida is on their team, he could make them be at their side and they would not have enough time to react and bam, headbands. gone

suddenly a drain in his quirk happened which forced him to go back on the ground, he clicked his tongue as Iida and they sped towards them at a fast speed, 60 seconds left on the clock

as fast as Gaara could he put a sand barrier around them like a dome, and just in time the barrier covered them and just missed todoroki's outstretched hand that went towards the headband, Gaara let out a small breath of relief

midoriya looked at Gaara in slight confusion and appreciation too "Gaara-kun, why did you make  dome if your sand would have blocked it, I mean your sand stops anyone from touching you" Gaara looked at him as if he was dumb and in his eyes, he was being dumb as of now

"I am able to turn that off manually since I do not control that myself, I turned that off to let you all carry me" midoriya's mouth fell open as he realized how dumb Gaara must have thought he was, he muttered a sorry and averted his gaze

when the timer went off for the game Gaara released the dome and the sand fell to the ground and into the earth, the team placements were reviled and it went as 

first place: team Gaara

second place: team todoroki

third place: team bakugou

fourth place: team shinshou 

midoriya cried in happiness that made a water hose of sorts, Gaara slowly walked away from him and the others 'he's so weird..' they were given a break for lunch so he made his way to the break room so he could eat

'it is going well, first place in both rounds' he nodded his head in satisfaction at his accomplishments.

got a laptop again, an extra one but it's small so it was hard but when I get a new one it will be better, also Gaara is not as hostile as naruto Gaara because he had faced fewer hardships but again I'm no good at writing
