Chapter nineteen

third POV~

after the whole ordeal, Gaara waited for the match with iida and Ibara but he would be watching that anyway, it just seemed so boring so he would rather not and after a while momo sat beside him which was annoying but at least she wasn't talking

but it seemed he spoke too soon as momo turned her head to him and started to speak "so uhm Gaara, I've been wanting to ask you this but I didn't want to overstep" well if she didn't want that then why is she taking now 

Gaara gave her a side look but looked forward once again, moo didn't seem to get the message for her to go away though "at the USJ when you were injured you mentioned someone named Temari, you seem like you care about her, so uh I was just wondering who she is to you" Gaara got an idea of what she was talking about 

back at the usj, he was not conscious of what he was saying or his actions so he must have mentioned her, he hopes he didn't do anything else than that, how foolish 

without looking at her she said "whatever you heard from me then, was not me nor meant to say so do me a favour and forget it" momo looked conflicted but talked back anyway "so you're saying the smile you had wasn't real!?" 

Gaara froze and whipped his head towards her with a glare "yes, that is what I'm saying is I haven't smiled since I was 6 now shut up you're such a pest" momo stared into Gaara's eyes, even if he was glaring at her he had such beautiful eyes, it feels as if she was staring into the sea

but if she looked beyond that she saw hatred and loneliness, why does he keep pushing her away? why does he want to be alone so bad, all she wants to do is be his friend but he makes it hard to do so, but she won't give up on him

"All I want to be is your friend Gaara.." momo gave him a soft smile that fit her face perfectly, Gaara's face didn't change once, not into shock, no smile, no tears well up and not even a twitch but he looked away once more

"I don't need friends" was all he said but she won't give up! not yet "but don't you want friends?" "no" she frowned at him "but-" she was cut off by the boy "go away, you're so annoying" Gaara crossed his arms and leaned backwards 

momo sighed and got up and walked over to the other girls who noticed her downcast look "momo, what's wrong?" tour asked her "it's nothing, nevermind it" momo simply answered, they pushed it a bit more but eventually gave up 

Gaara rolled his eyes 'how dramatic can she be' when Gaara looked back to the match he saw it was already over 'hm, momo must have been talking for a while he thought to himself, iida who came back from his match sat down, seems like he had lost his match

Gaara could tell from the disappointed look on his face, Gaara wasn't surprised as iida is only fast but if he worked on faster reflexes and stronger physical attacks he would be a strong opponent, Gaara can't say too much about the vine girl as he doesn't know too much about her

she seems a bit too peaceful minded, but heroes these days aren't allowed to kill and give people second chances, Gaara thinks it is stupid as not everyone will redeem themselves and will only do what they want to do, heroes don't understand that you need to kill if necessary cause some are too dangerous to be left alive

take all for one fro an example, he is too dangerous to be left alive and everyone should know that if all might were to win he would kill all for one, well now that Gaara thinks about it, all might wouldn't as he seems too happy go lucky and would think everyone deserves a second chance

Gaara sighed as he realized that probably no heroes would kill dangerous criminals, he wondered why this world was so black and white, some criminals don't have a choice to be one, there is no such thing as a villainous quirk and it depends on how they choose to use it

many matches happened but none were too interesting to Gaara so he will just say who won and who lost 

iida vs Ibara -Ibara-

midoriya vs shinsou -midoriya-

Gaara vs Denki -Gaara-

todoroki vs sero -todoroki-

mina vs Aoyama -mina-

tokoyami vs momo -tokoyami-

Tetsu Tetsu vs Kirishima -Kirishima-

bakugou vs uraraka -bakugou-

although he did find uraraka's match a bit interesting, her determination was quite memorable which made him respect her a bit but would keep that to himself, sure midoriya is determined but his is more of the annoying type

well that doesn't matter right now, Gaara supposes that midoriya and todoroki's match was quite the show but it was a bit too sentimental to him so that made it a bit annoying and boring

the semi-finals matches were revealed and Gaara was up against Ibara which isn't a bad match up as it would be vines vs sand, well Gaara is confident that he could win but he won't underestimate Ibara

as underestimating an enemy will be the end of you
