CHAPTER 5: "Safe travels, Y/n."

Sae Byeok's POV.

I looked at Y/n after what she said, what does she meant by running away?

like, leaving? from what?

"I was actually.. a student from an art school, I was supposed to graduate this year." she said, looking at the paintings that were on her wall.

was? what happened?

"But.. I sadly failed all my classes, usually people would say they don't know why it happened, but for me I clearly knew why."

before she could continue, she looked at me and smiled.

"That's a story for another time, I thought you were going somewhere tomorrow?" she asked, looking at me.

actually... I was leaving tonight.

I was planning to leave tomorrow, but I called the number that man gave me earlier.

and they were meeting me, tonight... at midnight.

"I am, we should probably sleep now." I told her, she nodded at me and went to her spot.

my eyes followed her, for some reason,

It felt like something was pulling me back.  

it was like I didn't wanted to leave her.

"hey Sae?" she called my attention, her entire body was now covered by her blanket, her head being the only thing that's popping out.

"yeah?"

"I'm happy I met you tonight."

I didn't understand why, but I felt something tingly after hearing her say that.

"And I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for, or get the things you want. Remember that I'm always rooting for you :)" she smiled while saying those to me,

Do we really have to say goodbye?

where will she go after I leave her?

wait, why do I even care where she's going?

I should be focusing on getting to join that game, I need the money for me and Cheol.

"y-yeah, thanks Y/n."

her smile grew, causing her eye to nearly close.

"good luck out there Sae, I admit I'm going to miss having a companion even after being with you for a couple hours hehe. But anyways, whenever you need a place to sleep at, or even someone to point a knife at for fun, me and my RV is always travelling and I don't mind travelling back to you." she said still with her bright smile, but I saw a hint of sadness in her eye.

"Safe travels, Y/n. Good night," I said, smiling at her with her signaling "fighting" to me.

she waved at me whispering "good night", as she finally turned her back on me, going to dreamland.

staring at her back, remembering the short amount of time we've spent together,

from me catching her steal chips and a can of catfood (she told me she gave catfood to the street cat she found outside the store), pointing my knife at her because I needed to sleep somewhere,

to her being a welcoming supportive ball of chaos, and did nothing but make me crack up all night.

I felt myself smile.
