For once in her life, she felt like she found the escape she's been looking for.

(Y/n's POV.)
And for the first time, a lover...
"so I did THAT for you to just- walk around here, huh Ariel?"
Y/n turned around as her eyes went wide, seeing none other than the criminal's son himself.
Her lips trembled, "Kenji..."
He wasn't looking at Y/n but was looking at the girl sitting near the shores, Y/n's eyes were at him.
Was she dreaming?
Kenji looked back at her, hands in his pockets giving her a little smile, "Hey, sunshine."
Y/n just wanted to fall apart looking at Kenji, she couldn't believe that a person that was supposed to be gone, is here. With her.
"awe, stop those little baby tears you big dummy. Come here," Kenji wiped her cheeks and pulled her in a hug,
Y/n couldn't even cry loudly anymore, as she was just quietly sobbing onto his embrace, taking deep breaths while doing so.
"I don't... I don't understand, why are you here? And-and there's was this situation where I saw you and-"
"Ji-Yeong, I know. I've seen it too, I saw how Ji-Yeong, You, Sae Byeok and everyone in our team received the card," he stopped making Y/n look at him,
"I saw everything when I died."
Her entire body froze, "wh-when you died?"
Kenji smiled at her, "welcome to the after life, Y/n."
Chills went down her spine, "no, no... No! This can't be the after life, my mom is waiting for me back home, I left my RV back on that parking lot and-"
"shhh..." Kenji shushed her,
He pointed at the girl near the shores, "that's Kang Sae Byeok-"
Before he could continue, Y/n rolled her eyes despite being stressed, "yeah funny enough, I know. She's my girlfriend."
"after you died, I guess this is the year after we died." he continued making her close her raging mouth,
"after I... Died?"
Kenji nodded, "it sounds surreal, but yes. When I got shot I thought that was it but here we are."
"so you mean..."
"yeah, I got thrown around that forest too." he finished, Sae Byeok on the other hand stood up. Kenji quickly grabbed Y/n's hands and followed her quietly,
"why... Then why are we still here if we're- dead?" it made Kenji smile,
"you'll know later, just spend time with me a little bit." the both of them saw Sae Byeok buying a hello kitty plushie making Y/n's brows furrow,
"who is she giving that to?" she whispered clenching her jaw,
Sae Byeok sat down putting the plushie next to her, smiling at it.
