Steve entered the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed next to me.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I had a bad day" Steve sighed.

"Me too" I said turning my head to face him.

"I tried to destroy the Captain America uniform" Steve sighed.

"Steve" I said softly.

I reached up and cupped his face my thumb brushing over his beard. He offered me a weak smile and placed his hand over top of mine shutting his eyes.

"I couldn't though, I tried but" Steve said.

I looked down at the floor where Steve's old uniform was, the star and Avengers symbol cut out of it.

"Because apart of you will always be Captain America and that's ok" I said.

"I don't deserve to be Captain America Y/n, he's meant to be this symbol of hope and he's meant to lead people and now I'm a criminal" Steve said.

"Come with me I need to show you something" I said standing up.

Steve sat up in bed and looked at me with confusion. I extended my hand for him to take. He let out a breath and took my hand standing up.

We put our shoes on and headed out the door.

"Where are you taking me?" Steve asked his eyes wandering the streets of Prague.

"Just trust me ok" I said reaching down to hold his hand.

"Ok" He replied.

We turned a corner and I pointed towards the wall. A smile spread across Steve's face.

"I saw it on one of my walks" I said.

It was a mural of Captain America, it was new, the paint had only just dried yesterday. The bottom read "forever our captain".

"See, people still love you Steve" I said giving his hand a squeeze.

Steve smiled and looked down at me, the sadness in his face had now dissapeared.

"When did you find this?" He asked.

"Yesterday, and the paint was still wet" I said.

Steve smiled and let my hand go walking across the road towards the mural. I stood behind stuffing my hands in my pockets.

Steve reached the mural and placed his hand against it, the smile on his face never fading.

"It's beautiful isn't it" I said walking over to him.

"You have no idea" Steve said removing his hand.

"And the guy who is painted is insanely attractive you know that" I joked.

Steve laughed and draped his arm over my shoulders.

"Is that so huh" Steve asked.

"Yup" I replied popping the p.

He shook his head and laughed bending down to kiss my forehead.

"You missed" I teased.

Steve rolled his eyes before leaning down to place a soft kiss on my lips. He pulled away and cupped my face.

"You are amazing you know that" Steve said.

"Yeah I know" I said.

Steve shook his head but the smile on his face told a different story.

We continued walking as Steve kept his arm draped over my shoulder. I looked up at him as we walked.

"Your staring" Steve chuckled.

"Your just too gorgeous" I told him.

Steve's cheeks burned red. I laughed and leant up placing a kiss on his cheek.

"You never told me what happened with you" Steve said nudging me.

"It was just Peter being a bit of an asshole it's nothing" I sighed.

"It doesn't sound like nothing" Steve said.

"I said he needed to be more careful, but he just got mad and blamed me for leaving" I said.

"I'm sorry doll" Steve apologized, I smiled slightly at the pet name.

"It's alright he's just hurting, we both are" I said.

Steve rubbed my arm and kissed the top of my head.

"I'm sorry your not with him Y/n, I'd do anything for you to see him again" Steve said.

"Steve you said it yourself, I'll see him again" I said.

"But how long will that be?" Steve said.

"I don't know" I said.

Steve gave me a small half smile.

"I guess we just have to make do with eachother" Steve joked.

"Yeah and your not that bad" I teased.

Steve gasped and grabbed his chest in feighn heartbreak. I laughed and tilted my head back.

"You know it'll be Christmas soon" Steve said.

"Yeah" I said looking up at him with a smile.

"I hope it snows" I smiled up at him.

"So you can build a snowman?" He asked with a light laugh.

"Also I really want to throw snowballs at Sam" I said with a smirk.

"Of course you do" Steve chuckled.

I laughed and Steve shook his head while laughing with me.
